What were they like BEFORE birth - spinoff

MamaJAM wrote: What were your babies like while still 'on the inside'? Was their behavior then the same as after they were born?

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Katy was difficult. She would move away from monitors(during her bi-weekly NST/BPP) , hit the doppler, she mooned us when trying to do an u/s...I mean big time I went to lay back and there was this massive lump sticking way far out of my stomach. it was my little angel sticking her butt as far out as possible. Luckily I have a picture so I will remember it always smile.gif She would go all day w/o moving at all then wait until I got to the hospital and start kicking the nurses when they were hooking us up to the monitors.---she is still difficult

Matt generally cooperative, he did manage to hide it form us for 15ish weeks that he was a boy and numerous u/s and u/s techs were shocked to hear that the baby they proudly announced as a girl was most definately a boy. He did decide to show off the boy parts before he was born so he could wear blue in the hospital smile.gif---now he is generally cooperative. We get asked a lot if he always listens so well and is as helpful at home.

~~*Missi*~~ replied: yes sabrina was up all day kicking and wiggling all about and about 9pm she would quite off until the morning. She would kick me so hard in the morning you could hear it thump on the bed. It was funny.

She has always been very very active. Every U/S she would run or kick at the wand(sounds). Doppler we never got a HB longer then 10seconds LOL. She was a P'er then and is a P'er now

Bee_Kay replied: LOL! Mine are still the same from pregnancy, to babies, to teenagers.

Ash - very active (kick kick kick LOL)
Ty - very laid back (had to jiggle my tummy to make sure he was ok)

MamaJAM replied: DD#1 was fairly active. She didn't like anyone 'invading her privacy' - and would kick off the heartbeat dopplers, ultrasound wands, and monitor belts (in the hospital). She also kicked ONE spot for 4.5 months smash.gif-- I actually had a bruise on the outside of my body at that one point for that final 2 months of my pregnancy. I always commented that she'd be a soccer player.....guess what her favorite sport is!?

DD#2 was a 'stretcher'. I had an extreme-excess of fluid and she certainly took advantage of that. She was sideways across my belly and I often felt (and saw) her stretch out. Even on ultrasounds she was never really curled-up in a ball like most babies. She's still the one who likes to laze-around and stretch her legs.

DD#3 was a hyper-little thing! She was constantly flipping around. She kept going from breech to head-down depsite the fact that I had 1/3 the 'normal' amount of fluid by week 34. The docs took her two weeks early - when she was caught head-down at my OB appointment -- they were worried she'd get stuck breech if she rolled again. She's been on-the-move since delivery.

DS#1 was a wiggler -- he would kick/punch and just wiggle a lot. He continues to be a wiggle-worm to this day.

DS#2 was very active before he was born. He was always kicking, flipping, wiggling, etc. I really thought we were 'in for it' with him -- but as soon as he was born - he calmed down. He loves to stretch out -- and to calmly cuddle. Odd how he's he only one who changed right after birth.

coasterqueen replied: YEP! Kylie kicked me 24/7 and up all hours of the night....totally fits her. Megan was quite a bit more quiet until that last month (8th month) and then she was kicking like crazy. Megan's a lot more reserved for sure.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Our girls were great, other than a jab in the ribs a couple of times with Christian dry.gif -- I never had any problems with either one.

NEWMOM05 replied: Kathryn kept trying to get out of my belly by forcing her body to the front. She was also pretty long and always stretched out. Very active during certain times of the day. also I thought she would hate to be covered. In the u/s she also mooned us and my hubby thought it was a tail emlaugh.gif She was such adrama queen and had her hands and arms by her head.

She was an emrgency C-section baby. I guess that's why she kept trying to come out that way. She knew her head was so big rolling_smile.gif
At first she loved to swaddled it made her calm down. Now she hates to be covered always kicking. She sleeps with her whole body stretched as far as it can be. She loves to be a drama queen with my pouty lip rolleyes.gif She always sleeps with her hands about her head. wub.gif

It will be fun to see how she acts when she's older, but I can wait.

CAMSMOM1 replied: Cameron was very active in the womb. He was constantly kicking and moving. I had like 9 U/S and everytime he was going crazy! When the music was on, he really acted up. Doing flips all the time. I remember seeing his hands push on my stomach, even got it on videotape. He gave me a hernia, and stretched my stomach out to the max. rolleyes.gif So it pretty much fits his personality now, super active & loves to dance to the music! happy.gif

fashionmumofboys replied: DS#1 - Laid back in my tummy. As a child he was very active.

DS#2 - Laid back in my tummy. He is also pretty much laid back and a good child.

DS#3 - Very active in my belly. Lots of heartburn with him to. He is a very active child.

Edward's Mommy replied: Edward was so active, you could see him turning in my belly. He's still super active!! I can't get the kid to sit down long enough to eat!

MyLuvBugs replied: Well, Lorelei was active. All the book say, babies will be active at night while you sleep, and not move too much during the day. That's a load of Poo when it came to Lorelei. This kid moved and kicked from the moment I got into the shower in the morning until I laid down at night, and then she wouldn't move all night long. It was kinda tiring, b/c I was constantly feeling her, and shoving her back into place. smile.gif lol

Then when she was first born.....She wasn't "active" per se, but now she's moving around ALLLLLLL day long. NEVER sits down, unless eating. rolleyes.gif So, she's much the same as she was inside. smile.gif

mommymonster replied: Maddy was an active baby in the womb and moved alot, she is still a ball of energy! Joey was a pretty calm baby, but had his favorite active times in the belly, He is still a lot more calm than his sister, but has his hyper spells.
So, yeah, they both are similar now as to then.

luvmykids replied: Kylie and Colt were exactly the same, she was totally dominant and didn't leave him much room, just like now when they're on the couch! He took a while to find a comfy spot but then parked right under my ribs, just like now. He's like a dog circling a spot to lay down! Macie was mellow, but definitely a night owl.

Towards the end with the twins it actually hurt when they moved and kicked and my tummy was stretched so tight you could see everything!
