What's Hot...... - What's Not
moped wrote: So ladies, what is the hot item this year for Christmas for a 2 year old boy???
Jack loves Thomas, Construction stuff, Bob the Builder, etc etc.......
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Gads, do I really have to start Christmas already? Seems like I just finished birthday. I guess Logan will probably have a book/puzzle/DVD/CD Christmas. In addition to a few item of clothing. The GPs will probably take care of the toys. They usually do.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I think when Tanner was 2 we started to buy him his first board games. Beware...don't get that darned Lucky Ducks game! EGADS, that a nightmare of a game, loud and oh so annoying! Last year we also got him a little toolbench shop that he adores. He loves anything having to do with tools. I think buying for 2 year olds is so fun. Now that Tanner is 4 I'm kind of at a lose this year, aside from the action figures he keeps begging for.
Brias3 replied: Oh, you mean Mason's favorite game?
Right now, my youngest will be three next Thursday, and he's really into Superman, Diego, Backyardigans, Bob the Builder and Thomas.
moped replied: Anybody seen this before???

I think it looks like a lot of fun
Jamison'smama replied: I am shopping for my 2 year old Jack as well --so far, I am thinking of getting him the Diego Rescue Center (if he still likes Diego then). I already bought him the VideoNow Jr. and a few videos. I may get him more realistic looking tools for his tool bench. I think he will be moving to a big boy bed in the next few months so for his birthday (5 days after Christmas) he may get new bedroom stuff.
mckayleesmom replied: Im Hoping to get both kids new bedroom linens and decorations...
Mckaylee so far wants.
Moonsand The Little Mermaid
So far mommy wants to get her some Lincoln logs and a couple board games too.
Russell
blocks trains and cars
He also needs a new big boy bed.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I was thinking board games for Wil...maybe the Memory game. He's into matching these days. Also, I like the new computer games...maybe a Leap Frog type one. I'm thinking more on the educational side, since they're like little sponges right now. Not that he wasn't before, but I think Wil will actually sit down with something now for longer than 5 minutes...I hope. Last Xmas/Hannukah was sorta a joke...he was not interested in gifts at all...total waste to buy so much!
ETA: Wil would love that train set! You should get that...just as long as the little plastic pieces are durable. We got Wil a wooden set for his birthday and DH nailed it all to a board (I told you all before) and Wil LOVES it! It takes up a lot of room, but it keeps him busy...which we all know is a GOOD thing!
mckayleesmom replied: I agree.....Train sets are a hit. Russell just got one about a month ago and now Mckaylee even wants her own.
moped replied: We have a train table that has taken place of a coffee table and that is huge at my house, but he loves construction too...........
Nina J replied: I agree, train sets are good Emily has one with wooden tracks, she loves building tracks. She used to build simple ones, but now they're expanding with lots of bends, and bridges. Her biggest one went from one room to the other (she has alot of pieces)...she was to tired after building it to actually play trains with it
Maddie&EthansMom replied: If he likes construction/tools, ToysRUs has a Home Depot drill, chainsaw and tool set. They have an entire Home Depot line actually. Ethan LOVES that stuff.
Our CostCo has a train table that I was thinking about getting E for Christmas, but I have no clue where to put the thing.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner has quite a few of those Home Depot toy tools and the workbench. He loves tools and the toolbench is well worth the money.
