msoulz replied: We are having another family over for the Superbowl and I have to go to the grocery store for some food - otherwise we are staying inside as it is FRIGID out there!!! It's zero right now and I have no idea what the wind chill is . . .
Old Mom Hubbard replied: CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING A SGT!!! AWESOME!!!
What am I doing this weekend? Preparing myself for becoming VERY BUSY as an almost full-time college student once again! Taking up a course in Arabic, Political Science and Biology. This along with my part-time work as an investigator will keep me happily busy! Now that my son is 18, and I have SLOWLY been working towards another degree I just LOVE learning and school. (would not have known me in High School at all where I was at a point in my life I could not WAIT to get OUT of school, but now that I am OLDER I love it! Never too late to go for one's dreams though!
I have had my books for over a month though, since I found out who the teachers are upon getting signed into the classes, then met with the teachers and found out the book and other class materials lists, so I am already through my first reading of them and got me a head start! So wish me luck everyone, especially regarding the language as I am hoping for a translation job here in the future!
3xsthefun replied: We ate out yesterday evening at our favorite Mexican resturant, while the inlaws kept the girls. We also done a little shopping and I finally got the ear cartliage piercing that I had been wanting for few years now.
We will be going to my parents later on this evening for a SuperBowl party.
Calimama replied: My hubby took a course to learn Arabic, he had so much fun shouting things in Iraq.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I learned a couple things in Arabic when I was in high school. That I remember, ware of course the insults... lol and the phrases "do you have any money? " and "i have a cookie"
coasterqueen replied: We had friends over this weekend. I was sick. We watched the super bowl, that's about it.
