What's everyone getting their 3 yo girls? - Need some inspiration for christmas

jcc64 wrote: I know this has been posted before, so forgive me for asking again. I am totally uninspired this year where Christmas shopping is concerned. Give me some ideas. What are you getting your little girly girls this year?

mckayleesmom replied: Well...Mckaylee is getting a puppy and a Dora Diary so far. Her grandma is getting her the Disney Princess kitchen and table set. My mom so far is getting her clothes that I know of.

toady_buckshot_noodle replied: A kitchen set. In our case, the Step 2 deluxe from Wal-mart. Along with a table and chairs (grandma) Stroy sharing Care Bear (grandma) leapfrog stuff and books and movies. Oh, and the big, soft My Little Ponies

Kaitlin'smom replied: tons of new clothes laugh.gif and our big gift is the dora talking kitchen, then some videos and other little things

mummy2girls replied: A kitchen with accessories to go with them, clothes, crafts such as playdo and stuff, doll accessories and a new baby doll.

toady_buckshot_noodle replied: ohmy.gif Wow!! Kitchens must the THE gift for 3 year olds! There will be a bunch of cookin little girls!!

Alice replied: A 12" two wheeler with training wheels. She's a whiz at her older sister's!!

amynicole21 replied: We'll probably go the bike route this year... she's just figured out peddling tongue.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Hopefully it won't be with real food anymore rolling_smile.gif

jcc64 replied: We got Corey a kitchen set last Christmas, and believe me, it was a good move. She plays with it so much we never even moved it out of the living room where she opened it on last Christmas morning.
I'm going nuts looking for a catalogue that had a toy in it that I REALLY wanted to get Corey. Like everyone else I'm sure, we get about 8 catalogues a day, and this one just got lost in the chaos. It was a pink ride on plush pony that moved forward by the child bouncing up and down on it. Has anyone seen anything like that?

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison is getting the Cinderella tea cart--as she serves tea to us 20 times a day. I think I am also getting her the Cinderella armoire and filling it with a bunch of dress-up clothes I got off the Halloween racks--a bride dress, a cowboy outfit, a Kimono and stuff like that. She is also getting Leap Pad books and art stuff.

kit_kats_mom replied: Dr kit
princess nighty
pc game
stocking stuffers (old fashioned wooden toys. top, small train, horn, candy etc)
pretend, barking puppy
snow globe- she is crazy about these things! wacko.gif
cinderella cd
$10 cash
easel

That's it from us. she already has way more than she plays with.

kimberley replied: well jade is only two but we are getting her the dora talking kitchen too. i am glad we waited cuz it is on sale this weekend $30 less than everywhere i've seen it biggrin.gif
she will also get some clothes and maybe a corduroy bear dvd if i can find it. good luck with your search.

btw, we got jade a ride on pooh bear last year and she never plays with it sad.gif it even sings. dunno.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Possibly the Dora kitchenette, maybe a bisto table and chairs set, defininitely a Dora bike, a karaoke for kids machine thing that goes on your tv, a Leap Pad system, and clothes for sure.

MommyToAshley replied: We've only picked up one thing for Ashley so far. It's the Star Station Entertainment System. It's similar to karaoke but it also puts their image on TV. So, Ashley can watch herself sing and dance on TV. She loves singing and dancing, so this is the one thing I could think of that would be a big hit.

I'm thinking of getting her a kitchen set as well. Haven't decided which one yet.

I'm doing a barter with a client.... I'm doing some website work in exchange for an outside playhouse, custom built. It will be like the picture below, except lavender instead of pink. And, of course it will say Ashely instead of Emily.

She may get one or two small things, but that will be it. We're really trying to limit it this year.

MomToMany replied: Hannah is totally into Cinderella, so she will get lots of stuff with Cinderella on it. And she needs a better kitchen set as well, along with some more fake food & more dishes. Little girls just LOVE to pretend to cook!

MommyToAshley replied: I jsut thought of something... have you seen the V.Smile TV Learning System? If she doesn't have one, you might look into that. Ashley and her friends love it. Just a thought.

jcc64 replied: Checked out the link, Dee Dee. It looks good to me- but dh is pretty firmly against "hi-tech" toys, which is pretty ironic considering he's an IT guy. He doesn't even like her to play on the computer, and didn't allow the boys to do so until they were quite a bit older than her. He's perpetually aggravated at the amount of time Noah spends in front of the PlayStation, believing that electronic toys stunt his creative potential. I can see that argument, but I swear the reason he's such an amazing ball player is b/c of the level of sophistication required to play some of those games.
Anyway, if I could only find that ride on pony- googled it, spent wayyyyy too much work time searching for it, but I'm pretty sure she would like that if I could only find it. bawling.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
Was it something like this: Dora bouncer but in plush? I thought about getting Ashley one of these or a mini trampoline but I think I might wait until spring so she could use it outside. I remember having so much fun on these as a kid... of course mine was just plain, we didn't have Dora back then. laugh.gif

jcc64 replied: No, it's actually a plastic horse that has springs inside:

But after reading the awful customer reviews, I definitely don't want this one, especially considering the price. The one I saw somewhere was a similiar type of thing, but was pink and plush. Idk, maybe I'm better off getting the bouncy Dora thing- and at $10, you can't really go wrong.

mummy2girls replied:
the old halloween costumes is a good idea. I meant to do that thsi year as she is into dressup now but forgot!
