mummy2girls wrote: I am making Roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob and fresh buns:)

luvmykids replied: Babyback ribs, twice baked potatos, corn on the cob, and homemade cheescake for dessert.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Um, I have no idea. But tomorrow is going to be a crockpot day. Tonight, probably left overs.

mummy2girls replied:
now that tastes absolutely delisious!

Calimama replied: Soy burgers, baked potatoes, and banana pudding.

Brias3 replied: We typically go out to eat on Saturday nights, but its so beautiful out today after our week of rain, that I just picked up some really nice steaks from the store. I think we'll grill those and have corn on the cob, hash brown casserole, cucumber salad and dreamsicle pie for dessert! (I bought the fixings for the pie, its SO easy to make, now I just need to see if I'll have enough time to let it harden in the freezer, otherwise we'll just be having orange sherbert and vanilla ice cream in a bowl for dessert wink.gif )

luvmykids replied: Bria, you can't mention a pie like that without sharing the recipe laugh.gif

Oops, sorry.

Actually, its so simple, I feel embarassed even calling it a "recipe". Here's what you'll need.

A graham cracker pie crust (I usually just use a Keebler store-bought blush.gif )
a 1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream
a 1/2 gallon of orange sherbert
Cool Whip

All you do is let both the ice cream and sherbert soften a bit and then layer the ice cream into the pie crust first, followed by a layer of the sherbert. Amounts can be to your taste, but I usually do equal parts up to the top of the crust. Afterwards, just spread a thin layer of Cool Whip across the top. I'll usually also take mandarin orange slices (or even the canned in juice variety) and "decorate" the top of the pie with those.

It is SO easy its silly and SO good on a hot summer day! I've gotten so many compliments on this dessert.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: OH WOW! Thanks for that recipe! We will be having that at the next family dinner for sure! thumb.gif

Jake&Emma'sMommy replied: steak, mashed poatoes, corn on the cob. That's it.
