Whats your childs - "new thing"
Mommy2BAK wrote: Just curious what everyones children have been doing lately. Any new milestones?
Mommy2BAK replied: I'll go first since I posted the question...
Blakely has been expanding her vocabulary a lot lately. I can tell that she really understands the words she says and what they are/mean.
ammommy replied: Yeah Blakely!
OK, I'm really not boasting, but since you asked Alec is really interested in reading so we are working on phonics. He's getting it slowly but surely and can read quite a few 3 letter words.
Megan was recently evaluated by the ped and he put her speech on the level of a 3/3.25yo and she's only 2 However, she is using those verbal skills to drive Mommy insane and has become a stereotypical 2yo x10
TANNER'S MOM replied: Well my kids are older to they still count?

PrairieMom replied: The Boy has taken to carring around "baby" its his doll. (my father is thrilled ) at least baby wears blue! hes a boy! Baby had to to Walmart with us today. ammommy replied: Sounds like my brothers
Mommy2BAK replied: HAHA that made me laugh too!
ilovemybaby replied: Abby holds serious conversations in baby talk with me LOL She points at everything and says something at the same time. I just wish I knew what she is saying! LOL She understands more... "put it back", "toy", "shoe", "come here",...... She puts her shoes on (closed in shoes) but she can't do them up of course LOL
mckayleesmom replied: Russell

MyLuvBugs replied: Hissy fits! That's Lorelei's newest thing, and my DH and I laugh our butts off. If you ever saw the movie The Whole Nine Yards, and you remember the fit that Matthew Perry's character has in his car, Yeah! that's Lorelei when you tell her NO. lol She shakes her head no and scrunches up her face, and faves her arms all around then stops off screaming. It's the funniest thing. lol
mammag replied: Oh my, Keegan is doing all kinds of new things everyday. He has become very cuddly! Of course, the next second he's doing another new thing.....scream and biting whoever is holding him because he's not getting his way He says "ball", "aww", and he barks at the dog all the time and yells at him when he gets in his way. He's quite a handful and quite a clown.
huggybugboy replied: Miles is trying so hard to crawl. He wiggles his butt up in the air but can't really figure out how to move yet. He rolls all over the place instead. He has two (sort of) teeth. And I finally found a way to make him laugh (everyone else could get him to laugh except me), jump up and down and make a fool out of myself. Oh well, the reward is priceless!
CantWait replied: Anthony agrees with everything I say right now. "Anthony get mommy your jacket" "OK Mommy" "Anthony go sit down" "Ok Mommy", it's so funny. He's starting to talk so much also, he's actually saying sentences, and if you ask him about his day, he'll actual tell you.
Robbie is doing the flag at cadets the last little while. Other then that, not a whole lot going on with him. Hopefully in a couple weeks he'll have his swimming badge.
mom2tripp replied: Tripp is walking Everyday it's a bit more and it's so fun, he gets so exciting he squeals
He has three teeth
He quacks when you ask him what does the duck say
He cuddles and loves on us
He feeds himself with a spoon and fork
He says momma, dadda, bye bye, car, and other jabberish
Thanks, it's fun to brag every now and then!
My2Beauties replied: Hanna is talking like crazy - she literally can have a conversation with you It's the cutest thing, she tells me what she wants (food, blanket, a doll, etc...), she tells me to "scott ober" when I'm on her "spot" on the couch.
She knows who the ice cream man is now, and is obsessed with it (I'm so sick of seeing Spongebob ice creams)
She has peed on the potty 3 times now
She has almost a whole mouthfull of teeth now, her 4 canines still need to come in, 1 of them has broken the gums
She can make animal sounds for cow, pig, horse, cat, dog, bird, and frog For frog she says wibbit, pig is her trying her hardest to snort so it sounds like air coming out of her nose Cat is mow instead of meow
She is obsessed with eating cereal, she climbs up in her highchair and says "ceral mommy" She is also obsessed with Wendy's chicken nuggets, that is all she talks about are chicken nuggets
She says Thank you for everything you give to her!
She is still obsessed with that sippy (partly mommy's fault)
She is going to be a bit earlier now and sleeping later now HALLELUJAH!
She remembers faces, if she meets someone one time she remembers their name the next time she sees them
She identifies pictures of people or pictures in a book
She loves to dance her diaper off
She loves to give kisses and hugs and then say Lub you!
She loves the bathtub now and will finally sit down in the tub, still throws a fit when I wash her hair though
She adores talking on the phone
OK can you tell that I am such a proud mommy!
But her overall thing is her talking, the girl says everything under the sun, she speaks in sentences, broken up of course, but she is just so smart!
amymom replied: All our kids are so good, smart and pretty much healthy I am so glad.
Mine are older but I will play anyway:
Mary Beth is a typical 8 yr old. She does really well in school she is playing basketball and her hockey team has had two games so far. They lost both but she had loads of fun That's what counts. She is loving playing defense and her coach likes that since everyone else on the team wants to play forward. Also, she is the fastest backward skater and only one boy can beat her going forward (and he doesn't always.) Tonight after school she is sleeping over a friends house and she left a note for her brother ... "I love you see you tomorrow." Ok her brag time is over.
My son is a typical teenager, he likes to sleep late, stay up late and be on the computer alot. He is very much into creating RPG games and has created a game that has alot of people playing. He is a freshman in High School and except for one class has all A's. That one class he has a 98 average on the tests, but the teacher is really strict with work being handed in on time and that is a problem that he is learning to deal with. For each assignment handed in late he received a zero. There were 2 assignments due and he was late in both. This counted for 25% of his grade so she knocked him down to 75. ( i would not tell him this, but I think she is a bit extreme in her marking) Anyway, I won't vent, this is about good stuff. He is a boy scout and is working on badges he needs to get so that he can become an Eagle scout. And he is a good friend to his friends.
Ok I am very proud of both my kids.
jen0902 replied: Kendall is 2.5 and will only wear her Snow White dress or her gymnastics leotard.
Kevin is 5 and is reading very well.
I'm new so I'm still learning how to do all the cute little smiles and stuff, bear with me!
coasterqueen replied: Kylie is now coloring instead of just scribbling. It just happened overnight too. Both her sitter and I am shocked at this new accomplishment because there was no transition. Other than that she's working really hard at tormenting her sister.
Megan will be 8 months on the 16th of November and she's got 3 teeth all the way in, 1 tooth is 1/2 way in and I know she's working on more because she's a fuss bucket! She's also very annoyed because she wants to crawl so badly but those legs won't go forward like she wants them to. She can get up on her knees and rock back and forth and even extend her legs but they just won't go foward. She's now taking a few spoonfuls of solids each day. She's become a 24/7 screamer and it's not the cute fun screams, it's the annoying mommy's pulling her hair out screams. She can really hold objects well, sitting up GREAT, pulling up when you hold her hands, and is walking fairly well when you hold her hands.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG BAD question to ask me I have been SOOO shocked by my monkey lately
Okay first off she for some reason does not understand the potty and that is driving me CRAZY I SOOO don't want to potty train but It needs to be done... sorry just a little vent
She knows shapes square, circle triangle diamond and star of course
she knows her colors red (she is actually saying red now instead of roho )yellow, blue, green, pink, orange, white and black and probably a few more
she reconizes the letters A and B and she is trying to sing her abc and it is the cutest thing I have EVER heard
OH and she is becoming VERY moody and telling us no a lot but I can usually change her mind...
jcc64 replied: Corey's memorized the entire "Cinderella" movie (who wouldn't if they watched it every day?!)
Noah (10) is finally recognizing that studying for a test takes longer than 2.5 minutes.
And Alec (13) is learning how to be an obnoxious sullen adolescent.
CanadianMom2005 replied: thanks you guys for for telling how the kiddos are doing.
Leanne and Jessica, I think we have triplet girls and just arent aware of it. Everything the two of you say pretty much sums up my little daughter. Other than she hasnt gone into potty training yet like Hannah. She loves to dance to music too Leanne. Its so hilarious isnt it.
KingMom replied: Colin now has a 3rd tooth coming through the gumline and he took his first step last night!!!!!! I was so excited, I picked him and threw him in the air. He hasn't taken another step yet but is getting more and more brave every day standing unassisted. He still uses the furniture or other people to pull up on but soon i think he will stand up alone without any help. I watch him get his but in the air and still have his hands on the floor like he wants to stand and the he will just go crawl over to something and pull up.
He is eating more table food but still eats a good amount of jarred food (he gags very easily on table foods" and has even threw it up o me
Well I just love him dearly and wish I was home a bit more.
mom2tripp replied: Our little boys are getting so big and they are both so darn cute I could just squeeze them
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Wil's first tooth is finally coming in! And he is getting better at walking while holding my hands. And his newest thing is probably picking up pens and scribbling on paper. And he eats a whole half of banana without me cutting it up.
