What's your favorite chic flick?
MomToJade&Jordan wrote: I was watching Where the Heart Is last week and I was wondering what everyone's favorite chic flick was. I think for me it's a tie between the above movie and Kate and Leopold.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Mona Lisa Smiles. It is such a good movie, I cried at the end!
aspenblue1 replied: I want to see Mona Lisa Smiles but haven't gotten a chance yet. I don't know what my favorite chick flick is but I pretty much love anything with Julia Roberts or Meg Ryan in it.
Heather replied: Mona Lisa Smile is a very good movie! I love love love Pretty Woman! I can never get enough!
ediep replied: You've Got Mail Sleepless in Seattle Bridget Jones's Diary
Kaitlin'smom replied: I want to see that! guess I need to go see it! LOL
hummm Bed of Roses is one of my favorites...
jcc64 replied: I don't know that this qualifies as a chick flick, but I just went to see "Cold Mountain" yesterday with Jude Law and Nicole Kidman. A very sad, very romantic story of 2 lovers trying to reach each other during the civil war. Excellent movie, highly recommend it.
kimberley replied: me too! i like the Mexican with Julia and Brad because it is like most of my relationships have been... never can seem to get it together. When Harry Met Sally is hilarious and Sleepless in Seattle is such a tear jerker!
MommyToAshley replied: I am the same way... I love any good chick flick, but especially one with Julia Roberts or Meg Ryan.
mckayleesmom replied: Let see.....
Benny and June Bed of Roses Beaches Mystic Pizza Steel Magnolious How to lose a guy in 10 days Mermaids Ever after...read the book too Sleepless in Seattle You got Mail The Sweetest Thing Where the heart is.....I read the book too
and much much more'
Im a huge Bratt Pack movie fan too.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: How funny! DH and I watched Where the Heart Is a couple of nights ago. I just love that movie!! I've never seen Kate and Leopold. I need to rent it. My favorite chic flick has got to be Sweet Home Alabama, although I have soooo many favorites.
Saw it on New Year's Eve...It is excellent!! Something's Gotta Give is wonderful, too.
paradisemommy replied: pretty woman ever after when a man loves a woman
3xsthefun replied: I love anything with Julia Roberts is in. I also like Sandra Bullock, even though I pick on my husband all the time. I tell him that she is his "girlfriend" he had/probably still does crush on her. I want to see Mona Lisa Smiles also.
My favorite movies are:
Where The Heart Is Pretty Woman Runaway Bride Two Weeks Notice Steel Magnolious The Sweetest Thing Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood Miss Congeniality
And many other movies....
mckayleesmom replied: My husbands best friends wife is Sandra Bullocks cousin..he has met her quit a few times at family gatherings he tagged along too...he said she is really nice and all the women in the family look alike.
natjasem replied: Yea, I agree, Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail are my favorites. I still sob when I watch Steel Magnolias or Beaches- those are also classics. I saw Cold Mountain too- it was good, but I really like happy endings, so I wasn't crazy about the ending.
jcc64 replied: Without giving too much away, I wouldn't necessarily agree that it wasn't a happy ending.
MomToMany replied: The only movies mentioned that I've seen are Steel Magnolias and Beaches . I guess I'm a little out-of-date!! I never have any time to watch movies like that, and I know DH isn't going to watch them with me ! It's next to impossible to go to the movie theater.
Maybe after Baby comes I can get DH to rent some of them for me....
DansMom replied: I liked The Year of Living Dangerously. Mel Gibson was at his absolute hunkiest in that film. Sigourney Weaver was an interesting, not typical love interest for him. Plus the political aspects of the movie appealed to me.
I have enjoyed all of the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan romances as well, together and separate: Big, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally especially.
Remains of the Day is possibly my favorite chick flick of all time. I love the novel too.
CantWait replied: Mine would have to be Pretty Woman, or Dirty Dancing.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh I forgot about Dirty Dancing. When that movie first came out I would save up money so I could rent it. I usually had to walk up to the video store so I could. I love that movie.
coasterqueen replied: I have many fav chic flics, but I am a major fan of John Cusack. I don't know why, but he does something for me So two movies of his that come to mind are Say Anything and Serendipity
