mummy2girls wrote: cereal... Breanna is formula fed so im not sure if that makes a difference but when have you all started pablum. Jenna is 7 so i dont remember 7 years ago how old she was...

Breanna will be 4 months on the 19th

moped replied: I think it was way too early with Jack, he was about 3-4 months. WIth L I waited until 5 months I am sure, hard to remember.

Jack was both BF and formula, Laila was mostly BF

PrairieMom replied: back in the day it was 4 months. Now our Ped is recommending that you wait until at least 6 months before starting solids.

kimberley replied: Jacob was 4mos and he did ok. James was 6mos and he did not do well and still has serious food sensitivity etc. Jade went from breast to food at 13mos. K started rice cereal at about 10mos-1yr.

coasterqueen replied: Kylie tried it at 6 months, hated it so we nixed it and didn't get people food really until a year.

Megan never got cereal, too many health issues.

I can't remember if you did/do or not, but if Jenna has any allergies (food and non-food) of sorts, I'd totally stay away from it with Breanna. JMO, though.

Mommy2Isabella replied: I would wait at least 6 mos.

mummy2girls replied:
no allergies to food just smoke because of asthma

mummy2girls replied: Thanks guys... Breannas doc says 4 months i can try but i just seem to feel thats too young and want to wait till 5 month:)

moped replied:
You need to do what you think is the right time,

A&A'smommy replied: 4months for both of mine.. if we could have waited with Autumn we would have but with her weight issues we had to get some more nutrition in her

mummy2girls replied:
Thats a big reason The doc wants me to do it... at 4 months. Being breanna was over 10lbs at birth and is now almost doubled that in just 3.5 months...

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Both of mine were 6 months when we started them on cereal and jarred food.

youngmomofone replied: I started cereal at 4 months with my first but she really wasnt ready. I'm waiting until at least 6 months next time.
