When did you start showing?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: Those with second babies...when did you start showing?? I heard you show quicker than the first and I'm wondering if I need to buy a maternity dress for DHs company Xmas party next month. It seems too soon, so I may be able to get away with an old regular dress. But it would be fun to buy something new!!

Most of my dresses are pretty fitted, but I only have a little pooch as of now and I still fit into regular clothes. It probably would be a waste of money wouldn't it? Even maternity small is a bit big. Hmmmmmm. dry.gif

MyLuvBugs replied: You could always get one of those dresses that has a tie in the back. That way it expands as your tummy gets bigger. I had a tons of those when I was PG. smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I don't remember when I started showing... lol but nobody in my family knew (extended family that is wink.gif ) at my wedding... and I was about 5 months pg wiht my 3rd.

Of course, I'm kinda chunky... so I probably was able to 'hide' it more than a thin chick like you!! wink.gif

MM'sMama replied: With Caroline I was around 4 months. But even then small maternity clothes were big on me. Maybe just get something a little looser fitting or the next size up maybe.

PrairieMom replied: With Ben I popped right out of my pants at 12 weeks or so, but was still ay to small for maternity clothes. It was Thanksgiving day!
This time I hope to make it through Christmas in regular clothes, mainly because I am just to darn tired to go dig in the attic for all my stuff!
i have a wedding in two weeks, and I hope that I can still wear the sress I was planning on wearing, I may just have a little pooch. I have one anyway, so hopefully noone will notice!

TeagansMom609 replied: I started showing around 5 months this time around. Some people still didnt notice, but I sure did. blush.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I didn't even begin to show with Mckaylee till 7 months

With Russell it was about 6 months.

kimberley replied: with James.. about 4mos blush.gif. i didnt even know until i was about 12wks because AF hadnt returned since i was still nursing Jacob (who was only 9mos!). plus i hadn't lost the last 15lbs from Jacob.

with Jade and this baby, about 5-6mos people starting asking me if i was putting on weight. blush.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: With Jade it was more 6-7 months, but with Jordan it was about 5 months. I carry my babies high so even at 38 weeks people looked at me cross-eyed because I didn't look that pg.

Kay Bear's Mommy replied: I started showing at around 4-5 months.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see this was for people with 2 or more children until just now. blush.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: About 3 months pg with Madison. But I carry absolutely HUGE (both times had tons of strangers asking if I was having twins and not believing me that I wasn't).

PrairieMom replied:
Isn't that grand? I got that a lot too. Are you SURE there is only one? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. That should be added to the book of no-no phrases with "oh are you pregnant? " when someone isn't.

mommy2owen replied: With Owen, it was about 6 months, and then with Ryan I started showing at 4 months.

JP&KJMOM replied: With JP I started showing about 4 months but with Karlee I think I started showing about 2 days after I found out. laugh.gif I gained lots faster with her and lots more too.

CAMSMOM1 replied: I started showing at 3 months. I thought this was really early to start showing since it was my first pg. I was so big at 4 months that I had to wear maternity pants with the extra pouch in the front! I measured 6 weeks ahead of my due date, the entire pregnancy. I wish I had a dollar for each person who asked me if I was pg with triplets! I would be a millionaire! No, they didn't ask if it was twins, triplets! Ha! I'm kinda scared about my next pg, I'll probably start showing my first month! rolling_smile.gif
I think everyone carries their babies different. The women in my family have huge watermelon bellies, so I was proud to carry on the tradition! I must be weird, because I really enjoyed the size of my belly. I love being pregnant! I would lift up my shirt to show my friends, and they would hit the floor! I was the freak show! I ended up getting induced cause my son was over 9 pounds.....I've heard that each baby gets bigger, I wonder what my next one will weigh?!
Can't wait to do it again! wacko.gif
