lisar wrote: You locked your keys in your car???

Saturday when I left the game store my sister met me up there we opened the trunk and I sat my keys down and opened the game looking at it well then we shoved it in the trunk and closed it. And guess what "MY KEYS WERE IN THERE" so I called dh he has a pick set we do not have another set of keys to the car. So he came out to where I was he had 30 min drive with both kids. He got there and popped the car open in less than a minute. I was so mad about it, and they have all been picking on me ever since. I havet locked my keys in the car since I was like 16.

katiesmom2002 replied: That really suxs. Ive never done it and hopefully never will. However i am always terrified i will do it lol.

mom2my2cuties replied: I do it all the time. Jeff is always after me to get a second set of keys because of it.

MommyToAshley replied: Sorry that happened, what a way to start the day.

I locked my keys in the car when I was in HS, but since then I've always had a second set of keys. And, wouldn't you know, as long as I have had the second set of keys, I haven't had to use them!

lisar replied: I dont have a second set of keys cause my key is a chipped key and its $130.00 for another key and I just dont wanna pay that. KWIM?

luvmykids replied: It's been about five years....the bad thing is, the car was running and the twins were in it ohmy.gif I got out to check our mailbox (the rural kind) and left the car running b/c it was so cold...I still don't know how I managed to lock it but the good thing was I had my cell phone in my coat pocket and DH was there in about 10 minutes.

A&A'smommy replied: i haven't ever locked my keys in the car wink.gif *knock on wood*

lisar replied:
See thats my fear. To do it when Raygen is in the car. If Lexi was in the car she could jsut unlock the door for me. But Raygen wouldnt be able to if she was in her carseat which she always is. So I am always scared of that.

CantWait replied: Ummmmm I've never done that. unsure.gif emlaugh.gif

stella6979 replied: LOL! That happened to us in October. We drove 20 miles to take some pics at a pumpkin patch and when I was getting Avery out of her carseat, I set the keys down on the backseat, hit the locks, shut the door and started walking. Our spare key was in my purse, which I didn't grab either, cause we had only planned on being there a few minutes. Of course, NO ONE there not even the police had a slim jim that would work on our car so we had to pay $50.00 for a locksmith. dry.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: about 10 years ago, oh waite DH did a few years ago I was with him. I have on star now so it would not be a big deal if I did just call and they will unlock (well with a few secruity questions)

Calimama replied: Onstar! They can open the locks within minutes! thumb.gif DH locks his in all the time, I haven't yet.. unsure.gif

3xsthefun replied: It has almost been 7 years.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Probably since I was in my early twenties. So maybe 10 years ago. Can't really remember. wacko.gif

Anthony275 replied: my mom locked her keys in the car with me in there when i was 6 months old, she had a policeman break the window to open the car

holley79 replied: It's been over two years. I am so paranoid about locking Annika in the vehicle that I have a death grip on my keys at all times.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Never. I don't lock my car. tongue.gif

Calimama replied:
LOL Well then I guess that solves that problem.

Danalana replied: I believe the last time was 1993.
DH's dog locked him out of the car once. he left the car running, and she accidentally mashed the lock down, which locked ALL the doors laugh.gif He looked so silly, locked out of his car, while his dog just looked at him like he was a lunatic.

Crystalina replied: In the fall. I always have a spare key tucked away on the vehicle so I'm good. smile.gif

Boys r us replied: It's been a LONG time. I used to be TERRIBLE about doing that!
Fortunately my last 3 cars, it's been impossible to lock your keys in. All 3 of them have had a safety feature where when the car was cut off, you could only lock the car with the remote keypad once the doors were all shut or by inserting the key in the keyhole and locking fromt he outside. If you hit the internal lock button when the door was open, it wouldn't lock..samething if you hit the lock ont he keypad when the doors are open.

sparkys2boys replied: Umm.. I am ashamed to tell this but I will. I did along time agao with my small neice in the car in a carseat, talk about PANIC!!!!!! I had to get my other neice who was a few years older to go through the sunroof and get the keys. It was the kind you could take right of the car and was opened some already, thank gawd! I dont think I ever did tell my sister about that.. am I now?? HECK NO biggrin.gif
