When will it stop????????
TeagansMom609 wrote: Im still losing massive amounts of hair! It started when she was about 4 months. Now shes 5 1/2 and its just as bad. There is hair everywhere! We can vacuum and put the baby on the floor 5 mintutes later and she will have fist fulls of hair! When does it usually stop? My bath tub fills up during every shower because my hair clogs the drain.
ediep replied: Do you notice your hair thinning? I still lose a lot of hair, but my hair doesn't seem any thinner. I think that majority of the "post-pregnancy hair falling out" lasted until Jason was about 8 - 10 months old. There is an end in sight.... Although, like I said, I still lose a lot of hair every day, just not as much as before
Elle replied: I would go to the doctor just to be sure it isn't anything serious... I lose a lot of hair every day when I shower and brush my hair, but not as much as you describe.
MomToMany replied: UGH!! I KWYM!! Mine is still falling out after having Kayla, who's 5 months old now. I only wash my hair every 3 days for fear of all my hair falling out! Every time I wash it, I squeeze the water out, and out comes chunks! And Kayla has her hands covered everytime she plays on the floor. I have to vacuum everyday!
I have very thick hair, so it's not thinning. I never knew I could lose so much, and strill have tons left!
A&A'smommy replied: (((HUGS))) SO sorry, I would ask your docter about it. That is SO annoying my hair actually did that before I got pregnant it got thicker when I had her SO weird!
Alice replied: I bet part of the problem is perception: your hair is long (and yes, I'm envious!!)So I bet that a few strands could clog up the drain, especially if it's thick. But, as always, when in doubt, ask the doctor.
TeagansMom609 replied: Its so relieving to know im not the only one! I acutually did ask my Dr. the other day...(thinking maybe it was because of a thyroid problem mabye) but all my blood work came back fine. Thank God
RachelsMomma replied: AGHHHHHH! It is sooo funny that you should bring this up. I noticed last week that my hair has started to fall out in bunches!!! DD turns 4 months this weekend. I had heard about hair falling out post-pregnancy, and thought I'd missed out on that. Nope! Hope it doens't last long.
My2Beauties replied: Hanna is 9 1/2 months old and my hair still falls out. There is so much hair embedded in our carpet that I have to get down on my hands and knees with the vaccuum brush attachment thingamabobber and scrub the hair up out of the floor!
coasterqueen replied: I never stopped shedding after having Kylie. I pray after this baby that I don't go bald.
If it is worrying you, though, I'd ask your doc the next time you go.
kit_kats_mom replied: my hair loss finally slowed down about when my DD was about 20 mos old. My bathroom counter would look terrible with strands of hair all over it. Drove me NUTS Sorry. :-)
Kaitlin'smom replied: I have always had thick hair and when PG it got thicker (terrible) well when it started shedding it was tons but my hair was still pretty thick, it had slowed down alot now but I still shedd some, It probably lookd like a lot more since I have long hair and its got a lot of natural curl/wave to it. Its finally starting to feel like my hair again.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yep. I have the same problem. It is falling out by the handfuls.
