When your baby wakes in the am - what does he/she do?
momof2girls wrote: I was just wondering if you are able to let your baby wake up on their own, do they cry? play in the crib or what? My first daughter would never "play" in her crib she would cry right when she woke up. Kiley will sit and play and talk to herself for about 40 mins, alot of times I go in cause I know she has to have a soaked diaper, just wondering.
alice&arik replied: Arik sleeps in his toddler bed and when he wakes up he usually comes straight to my room. Then he will lay down or start goofing around. If he is thirsty he brings me his sippy cup. Very rarely I wake up before him.
Emmy'sMom replied: When Emmy is in her crib she usually screams for me to come get her...lately though she is on a "sleeping with mommy" kick so,she wakes up smiling and babbling and scoots to the headboard to pull herself up..sort of like she has to make sure she can still do it

MommyToAshley replied: When Ashley was younger, she used to play in her crib. But, now I hear... "MOM! Come get me!" When I go get her, I get a hug and a "Good Morning" I usually bring her into bed and we cuddle for about 1/2-hour or so.
I am sure if she were in a toddler bed instead of a crib, she'd be in our room the minute she woke up!
mummy2girls replied: Jennas crib is next to the wall to my room. And my bed is agaisnt the same wall. so we have a wall between our beds What she does is she bangs on the wall and then cries..LOL. I go in to get her , change her bumb and then bring to the living room and give her a sippy of milk. She loves milk in the am. I usually sit her on the floor but she encrawling up unto the couch and snuggles with me...
3_call_me_mama replied: Cameron is in bunk beds (the bottom one) and as soon as he wakes up he comes into our room and insists "night nights' all done, momma up now please!" but then climbs into our bed and snuggles for a while.... he usually doesn't get up until after 8:30, unless i get him up before then.
two2luv replied: Isabelle wakes up screaming most of the time. She is NOT a morning person . She wants OUT of her crib RIGHT NOW but then she likes to snuggle for a bit - you can't rush her. She has to wake up and ease into her morning.
A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa has always woke up smiling well almost always...anyway she sleeps with us now so she will wake up and attack mommy and then attack daddy almost like she is saying "wake up" then she plays and talks but we don't get to sleep when she is doing that because we are at the hair pulling stage
Kaitlin'smom replied: Depends most days she will play for a bit others she will scream MOM.....
5littleladies replied: Brianna sleeps in a toddler bed so she can get up herself but we have a gate in the doorway so she won't go into the bathroom with out us knowing it. She usually starts the day by screaming at her sisters to get up and then stands at the doorway screaming "Mama, MAMA, Papa, PAPA". Lol. It makes my day.
ctymom replied: My baby will play for alittle bit and then try to start up her music but sometimes, she'll cry to get out and want her bottle right now. So it really depends on her mood when she wakes up.

aspenblue1 replied: Isabella will mainly start talking but if we don't hear her and go get her she will start to cry.
paradisemommy replied: we co-sleep with taven so he will usually just lay there for a while and stretch and talk to himself then he'll crawl on top of either of us and tell us really loud "ake up!" (wake up!)..it's pretty funny..
ediep replied: Jason will talk and play in his crib for a bit. When he is ready to get out he yells for us "Mama, DAda!!"" he will also shake the crib .
I have one of those tv monitors, so I can see him in his crib when I get up.
HayleysMom replied: My daughter is 8 months and when she's ready to get up in the morning she usually plays with her stuffed animals and talks to herself for awhile. She usually calls out when she's ready to get up but most mornings i can't resist picking her up once she gives me those happy good morning smiles
3xsthefun replied: Maegan she is usually crying when she first wakes up unless she is sleeping with me on the couch. Then she will try and crawl all over me.
Kaitlynn I don't really remember I think she cried some but not nearly much as Maegan. I think usually she would just sit in her crib and wait for me to get her, or I'd hear her making noises. LOL now she plays in her room for awhile, then after about half hour or so she'll come in the living room talking really loud.
DansMom replied: We co-sleep, but weekdays I'm usually up and about getting ready for work while DH and Daniel sleep. When Daniel wakes up and I'm not there, he calls out---kind of a pretend cry, not real, just to get my attention. He likes to nurse first thing. If I am still in bed, like on weekends, he'll sit up and look dazed for a second, rub his eyes, and immediately grab the nursing pillow and nudge me with it. It's pretty cute.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Most mornings I wake up to a happy talking baby. She will play with her little toys and talk to them. Then when she is ready to get out I will here a Mommy...Mommy...Milkie...Peasssssssseeee. Some mornings her Daddy gets her and brings her to me.
jen replied: Maddy will coo and talk to her hands until I look in there and then she is all gums She sleeps in the bassinet next to my side still! She has almost outgrown it so our solution is to take apart the crib and move it to our room! ha ha!
lsjulee replied: When Xin was younger, she slept beside us in the playpen. She'd roll about, talked to her softies, or just simply stood staring at me waiting for me to wake. And yap, she gave me a scare whenever I woke at her staring eyes. LOL!
For An, since birth, we put him in bunk beds (shared with his sister sleeping in the top bunk) in separate room. Now when he's up early, he'd either go up to the upper bunk to wake his sister, or he come over to our room and use the same 'staring-till-you-wake'.
