Where did this warm weather come from?
Celestrina wrote: I live just north of Philadelphia, PA. Normally at this time of year we would be expecting snow. Right now I have the heat turned off and the windows open! Ben and I went over to a neighbor's house so our sons could play outside. We had lunch on her back deck, and I think my face feels sunburned. I just hope this does not reflect what summer will be like - abnormally hot weather.
gr33n3y3z replied: I hear you on the weather I'm In Southern NJ and its tee shirt and short weather today No wonder everyone is getting sick
Insanemomof3 replied: Odd! But hey, enjoy it while you can!!! It is raining here in Oregon..and windy. Well, I guess the rain stopped for now, but it is not nice out.
C&K*s Mommie replied: We here in Florida do not expect snow in the winter, but we would normally have colder temps than what we have.
I do not know for sure where this crazy warm weather is from, but I know that we are going to have another killer (no joke) summer again this yr. Between the hurricanes that feed on the warm waters in the Gulf (no cool weather to cool them off) to the heat wave like last summer. We are going to be in for it... again!
ammommy replied: I sent it from Indiana. We had 50's this weekend and wanted to share the warmth I really need it to get cold and winterlike, though, because I need to thaw my freezer outside.
mom21kid2dogs replied: O & I just got back from the park where we've been since 10:30 this morning. We took a picnic, no coats & our baseball stuff. It is getting windier here(Ohio) and the weather is supposed to get rainy (mixed with snow tonight) and cooler for a few days. Meanwhil, we just dust the sled periodically.
Personally, I'm all over a hot, dry summer. We live in the water all summer & this is our last "summer of fun" before school starts!!
2whippets replied: I'm in Northern Virginia and It's in the 60's right now. The daffodils and early tulips are poking through and my winter coat is nowhere to be seen. I'm actualy missing the snow right now. I agree with someone up-thread who hopes this doesn't reflect what the summer will be like!
kimberley replied: don't know.. don't care! i LOVE IT!!!!
C&K*s Mommie replied: I am sorta with you on that Kimberley, except I am nervous about the repurcussions of having a warmer than usual winter (aka spring-like summer) when summertime comes around.
A&A'smommy replied: YES i'm SOOO dreading summer I HATE hurricanes.. last year was SO crazy even we got hit pretty good its pretty warm here too but its also really stormy!!
CAMSMOM1 replied: It's sunny and warm here too, in California!!!! Wee-We...It's going to be in the 60's!
But our summers are HOT! We get 100 degrees, sometimes 106 here in the Valley! I'm not looking forward to that hot of weather, but I love the spring time!
I think I'm going to have my sunroof open today in the car, and catch some rays!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I kinda like it but it also has me worried about how the summer will be. I also hate that I bought Kait new stuff for winter at the begging of season and she has bairly worn it
coasterqueen replied: I'm not sure what the temp is here but it has been warmer than normal. We'll pay for it at some point, I'm sure.
3xsthefun replied: I'm in Southern West Virginia. The weather has been strange here also. It was about 54 degrees today.
It is suppose to snow tomorrow so go figure.
moped replied: Super nice weather here as well!!!!
TeagansMom609 replied: It was so warm here today that when I got in the car I had to put all of the windows down because my brow was sweaty. There was no way I could have worn a coat today.
TeagansMom609 replied: Where do you live north of Philly? I used to live in Langhorne which is north of Philly.
Celestrina replied: Exactly! I opened the windows in our house today. Nice to have fresh air.
Celestrina replied: Right by Quakertown.
TeagansMom609 replied: Oh ok so up past Doylestown.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Ooh, Quakertown! I LOVE their farmer's market. I am about 2 hrs. north of you, near Wilkes Barre/Scranton.
Personally I am loving this warm weather because it means less heating bills! Of course it will probably mean super high electric come summer when we need the A/C but for now it is great!
luvmykids replied: In our part of NM we're supposed to have cold winters but every year it's less and less. We had a little snow last week but today was in the high 50's. The only prob is then in the summers we can't irrigate and have horrible fires.
