Where do you bathe your baby?

MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley is way too big for her infant tub but she looks sooo small in the regular bathtub.

+Zemirah+ replied: Okay, I admit it... I am a kitchen-sinker. laugh.gif At Ashley's age I usually do bathe them in the sink, because they are so at that in-between stage -- too big for baby bath but way too small for a huge tub. And I do take baths with my infants starting at about her age too.

Zemi,
who just MUST seem weirder with every post LOL blush.gif

edited my typos

MommyToAshley replied: I thought about kitchen sink ... but, I seem to give her a bath right after the DH and I eat dinner. I usually let the dishes go until she goes to sleep, but I guess I could change the schedule around a bit. happy.gif

And, no you don't seem weird. I remember my Mom used to give my brothers (who are 16 years younger than I) a bath in the kitchen sink. tongue.gif

ediep replied: we have the eurobath tub and it is an infant tub but its huge!! It has a built in seat for Jason. It is very safe. I'll most likely use the big tub when Jason can sit up better

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I used the infant bath tub until Zach was about 2 1/2 months old...then he got too big for it...not lenght wise, but because Zach moved around so much in it (kiccking and arm flapping) I put him in the big tub... now he just LOVES it!! I put him at the top of the tub, and he kicks his way down, or vice versa. he loves to splash!!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: I choose other cause I use both infant tub at the kitchen sink, once she can sit better on her own it will be the kitchen sink until she is to big then the tub. So I guess it would mor ebe all the above rolling_smile.gif

Schnoogly replied: We take a bath together in my huge square tub--he loves it!! I have the eurobath tub but he doesn't feel very secure in it and tends to get upset if it takes too long. But together I can hold him in the water and he loves to float and kick against me.

Schnoogly replied: He'll probably hate me for posting this later but heh heh...see how much fun he's having??

supermom replied: All of the above - at one time or another. My XMIL used to gripe me out because the kids would bathe in the kitchen sink, and then we would wash the dishes. She used to think that was VERY unsanitary - laugh.gif but she was very strange anyways.

But they have used a baby bath, the kitchen sink, the regular tub, both with or without me or my DH, and occasionally in the summer, the garden hose!! (when they were older, after making mud pies). Of course, we always finished that "bath" inside with soap and the tub!

If so, then you are not the only one!! laugh.gif

MommyToAshley replied: hehe, Don't you love taking pics you can embarass 'em with later.

Roxworld replied: We have the Eurotub as well, and although it is a little big....it is so awesome!!! Aidan fits perfectly inside, and the tub molds to his body....so you don't have to hold him with one hand, and wash with the other.

madaise replied: Teigen has always showered with me. lately, we've been showering together and once we are clean and I am ready to get out.. I fill the tub with water and bubbles and he plays until I'm dressed.

dhoppygirl replied: Peyton either showers with his daddy or we put him in the big bathtub on his back. He loves to kick and splash. The other day he rolled over and was trying to figure out why his hands kept going through the water!!! That bath was at night and he was tired, so he then tried to put his head down and it went into the water....he just shook his head and went back to trying to figure out the water with his hands, then he put his head down again...we took him out and put him in bed. But, he loves his bath and splashin!!! I tried taking a picture of him in his bath, but DH said, "No, I don't want him to be embarrassed when he gets older." So, we are going to get a video camera instead and videotape him! tongue.gif

Dawn

MommyToAshley replied: LOL. That's funny.

When Ashley was about 4 months old and I had her in the infant tub, I took a washcloth soaked with water and held it up, letting the water stream fall onto her belly. She kept trying to catch the stream of water and her hands would go right through it! LOL It was sooo funny, we got it on video too. Finally, she caught on and grabbed the washcloth!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Lol!!! I feel like such a horrible Mom.... we haven't taken pics of Zach in like 2 weeks.... and we've never videotaped him, we don't have a video camera!!!

Joannerobinm replied: We just switched to an inflatable travel tub and put it in our big tub. My avatar was taken a few weeks ago while we were still using the infant tub propped up on the sink. He's having much more fun now that he can really splash around and play with his toys.
rolling_smile.gif I feel much more relaxed too because he is sitting so well.
