Where do you treat your kids?
Hommer wrote: Every weekends I always see to it that I treat my kids to Mc Donalds or Carl's Jr. (BTW - I like the spicy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich at Carl's, but keep it out from your kids... it's very spicy... lol..) Where do you guys treat your kids?
Twelve Volt Man replied: My son isn't here yet, but I already have things planned. When he's of school age (and provided he does well and deserves to be rewarded), I plan on letting him miss school once in a while to have a father-son day. We'll do something fun together and tell Mom that we spent the day in the library!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: We take the kids out to our local mall...there's a huge kids play area that's really neat, the kids love going there. It's in an area that's closed off, like where normally a store would go, but the front is fenced in and has an employee signing in the kids and their parents, the kids cannot be left unattended. It's right next to the food court. So we take them there, and then have a meal in the food court.
It's more of a treat for us... cuz they're pooped and go to bed sooo easily after some time there...
my2monkeyboys replied: I've taken Will to Chuck E Cheese a couple of times, for no reason. I am on their email list so I get coupons each month to print off, so that helps. I also take him to a $1 movie sometimes too, depending on what's playing. They have Night at the Museum right now, so I'm hoping to take him sometime this coming week.
lisar replied: Chuck E Cheese, Pizza Hut. Those are the main 2 places.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Chuck E. Cheese, McDonalds (but after seeing Super Size Me we are very reluctant to go now), parks, amusement park, we want to take our girls to a jumpy-play center but have not yet, the mall, the dollar stores to get "prizes"
Boo&BugsMom replied: McDonald's or Arby's and StoneFire Pizza (a bigger version of CEC).
boyohboyohboy replied: we also do chuckie cheese for special occasions, and Mc donalds every once in a while...but mainly we have a special "day" each weekend, that caleb refers to as "family day" and we just hang out all together, with no phones and no tv..he knows it just his time with us.
luvbug00 replied: chucky by far. the mall we go to almost every weekend so that's not "fun" when summer rolls arround it will be to the zoo and such..
msoulz replied: LOL, that movie makes me think twice about that McD's breakfast I love so much - but then I go anyway!! Not too often though!
My son LOVES the Wendy's frosty, especially now that they have vanilla. That is his treat of choice, followed by Dairy Queen - vanilla cone dipped in cherry!
DillsMommy replied: We go to mr. ghattis/ghattiland on fridays. It's like chuck e. cheese and Dylan loves it!
coasterqueen replied: We have a variety of places we go to treat the kids, not every weekend, though. Those places include bowling, Chuck E Cheese, Jungle of Fun (which is a gigantic hamster cage for kids ), Library, Children's Museum, the mall merry go round, Kicks (like CEC but really for older kids) and McD's. The girls favorite places are CEC and bowling.
Brias3 replied: Gosh, I feel like a really depriving parent now. I refuse to take my kids to Chuck E'Cheese or a McD's playland cause I'm so freaked of the germs, especially in winter, and articles I've read about things in ball pits, jungle gyms, etc. I know I'm the MAJOR minority here, but its just a weird hang-up of mine. I DO try and make up for it though by taking them to movies, bowling, Build-a-Bear every once in a great while, the museum, planetarium, etc. As far as eating out goes, we'll try just about anything. They love going out for Japanese or hibachi so its not all the time, but we do usually go out to eat once a weekend night and then a brunch or breakfast out on Sunday after church too.
ZandersMama replied: For Zander, I usually give him 10 dollars or so and take him to the dollar store
He gets alot of stickers and stuff for that, its a haven for kids. I love it because I dont usually have alot of money to spend and he can get a ton of stuff in the dollar store.
I dont like to take him out for fast food for a treat because he is so picky, he doesnt like much of it anyway.
hopefulmomtobe replied: My husband does something really cool....he has wacky Wednesdays and just pops over to their schools and picks them up and takes them out to lunch, pizza..McDonalds...whereever they want to go eat. They love it! He never tells them though when he will do it. It doesnt happen too often because I dont like them missing school, but they love it of course!! Granted we have 1 in high school, 1 in middle school, and 1 in elementary...so it takes him a while to gather up our crew.
coasterqueen replied: My thing is I figure they'll get those same germs at school if not worse from there .
