Calimama replied: Tampons, my periods only last 3 days anyway.
mckayleesmom replied: Tampons....I didn't use them till I was late in my teens though...because of the fear of them.....Now I can't see how I ever wore pads and I definantly don't miss the sticky part of the pads attacking themselves to my body hair and making me sometimes scream outloud...

As for this, this is true mostly if you leave the tampon in too long (more then 6 hours) or if it's in to long for the flow you're having. Then yes bacteria can build up.

PrairieMom replied: I use pads. Since I had Ben, Tampons are just uncomfortable to wear.
3xsthefun replied: Both, I use mostly pads though only because my periods last almost 5-7 days.
lesliesmom replied: I usually use both. Tampons for sure and on the first or second day I usually back that up with an ultra thin pad. After that I back it up with a liner (except at night)
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Tampons. I didn't start using them until I was in my early 20's because I was afraid of them. I finally broke down because the pads were irritating my skin, and now I hate using pads. I usually have to use them at the end of my period and I hate it.
jcc64 replied: Tampons during the day, pads at night.
MoonMama replied: Tampons, mine only last 2-3 days.
Nina J replied: I said both. I use tampons more often than pads, but sometimes I'm to lazy and I just can't be bothered with tampons
luvbug00 replied: can't bring myself to use tampons. too scared for some odd reason
Boo&BugsMom replied: Tampons during the day, pads at night while I sleep. Doctors have always told me it's good to alternate them if you use tampons.
msoulz replied: Me too however, over the past couple of years it seems to be getting lighter and shorter - one of the few benefits of getting OLD!!!
