Which dress do youlike better? - Esther's Sweet Sixteen

MotherForever2043 wrote: I know it's early, but it will be here before I know it rolleyes.gif She favors the last one. But, I told her that it doesn't seem sweet sixteenish, not that fancy. But she insits that she HAS to have that one. I would rather her wear the first one. I know it's her Sweet Sixteen and all, but I just want her to look sixteen, and not like she just came from a school dance or something. KWIM? What do you guys think would be appropriate and which do you think is prettier?

A&A'smommy replied: I like the first one the best.. the last one reminds me of something you would wear for a salsa dance wink.gif Its cute but the first one is gorgeous and seems more age appropriate

Katrinadoodle replied: I personally like the first one... but this is her sweet 16, if she likes the third one the best, why can't she have it? It's her time to feel special, and if the dress makes her feel that way, I say have at it thumb.gif

moped replied: #1 all the way!

luvmykids replied: Definitley No1. I like the second too but it seems more bridesmaid-ish to me laugh.gif

stella6979 replied: I love the first one! And I'm probably going to sound like a sour puss here, but I personally think the third one is too "much" for a 16 year old. JMO.

MoonMama replied: #1! I absolutely love it! thumb.gif

Anthony275 replied: 75% of parties ive been to the girls wore something similar to the first one

Calimama replied: 1st!!! Very fitting for the occasion!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: wub.gif I love the second one. It's gorgeous! The third one is really pretty too!

HuskerMom replied: They're all really pretty, but I like the first one also.

Danalana replied: The first one smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Okay, I'm totally alone here, but I love the 3rd one. I think it will look stunning on her. wub.gif

luvbug00 replied: ITA with #3 young, fun and sassy! soo sweet 16

mom21kid2dogs replied:
Not totally~the 3rd one is my fav, too! Actually, the 1st one is my 3rd choice but they are all beautiful dresses. I'm sure she'll be beautiful no matter which one she gets!

lovemy2 replied: I personally like #2 the best wub.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I LOVE the first one. I dont think I could let my daughter were number 3 rolleyes.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: NUMBER 1

BAC'sMom replied: #1

bawoodsmall replied: #1 IS SO PRETTY!!! I WANT THAT DRESS! Maybe thats the point, I am not exactly 16. I dont really like #2 either because it seems bridemadish to me also.. It is her party though so she should prob be able to pick it or she may just be annoying that she hates her dress. sad.gif

Insanemomof3 replied: I am in the minority here, I love #3!!!! It is beautiful.

gr33n3y3z replied: I like the last one also
the other dresses look I dont know just not classy enough they look very old lady like

holley79 replied: I like both of them. I think they are both sweet looking.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ditto. thumb.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Ditto again! laugh.gif

boyohboyohboy replied:
me too!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Well personal taste, I like the second one best. I would actually wear it if it were black, but I have to put myself in the shoes of a 16 year old. So I have to agree with the young mom who said why not let her wear the one of her choice? I don't think it's too much. At first I thought it was a bit short in front (#3), but it's not. She's 16 you guys, not twelve! I say let her wear #3 if that's the one she wants. At least she wants pink, right? thumb.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: I don't think it's too short (#3). Actually I have a dress that looks just like that only in black. biggrin.gif I do think the top is a little too low though. The other two don't seem to be that low and they also seem to have more "support" than #3.

stella6979 replied: I don't think it's too short either. But I do think that girls these days are trying to grow up too fast and IMO that dress is a little too "sexy". The material is thinner which makes it more clingy and the girl in the pic is kind of hanging out of the top a bit. It's just not something I'd feel comfortable letting my 16 year old wear. But again, that's just me.

jcc64 replied: Well, the first one is the most stylish, imo- a classic. The 2nd one looks like it came straight out of a bridal mag as "the perfect bridesmaid dress"- nothing to recommend it, imo. The 3rd- well, I can see how it would appeal to a 16 yo's sense of style, and I do not think it's overtly sexual. If that's the one she wants, I'd let her have it.

MotherForever2043 replied:
I totally agree with that. I showed Esther the post and all the replies and she decided on the first one. Yay! happy.gif Thanks everyone thumb.gif

lisar replied: I am with the kid and say #3. I love that dress.

My2Beauties replied: I love the 1st and 3rd ones wub.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: #1 was my pick too, it's PERFECT for a sweet 16!!! I can't wait to see a pic of her in it!!

msoulz replied:
LOL, I'll say it's a classic - it is just like the dress I wore to my prom in 1984!!!! tongue.gif

I like the third one but I have always liked that kind of skirt. To me they are all pretty much the same, none is more revealing than another, so whatever she likes I would run with. They are all beautiful!
