White after Labor Day - taken from Rae's post about white
CantWait wrote: Do you where white after Labor Day? Do you think you should wear white after Labor Day?
I personally don't care, although I don't usually wear white pants anyway.
ediep replied: well, I would but I don't wear white pants because they aren't flattering on me.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I dont really follow any fashion rules....I wouldnt notice if I saw some one wearing white pants after Labor Day....I had white pants but they are now TOO BIG!
luvmykids replied: I don't really notice if other people do but I can't, had that rule drilled too far in my head I guess
coasterqueen replied: I really try not to let fashion rule me, so I'd wear white. I wear white shoes after labor day (flip flops) and I have some white capris I'd wear if I felt like it.
If you ever notice how celebs are the ones to defy "fasion rules" and then everyone else does it? Why does it always have to be them to 'lead' the bunch? So I wear what is comfortable and looks appropriate on me, not what fashion tells me to wear. I'm not a very good 'follower'.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Karen you crack me up.
I wear a lot of "winter white"....I really don't look that great in white. And I hate white shoes in general so I wouldn't wear those.
CantWait replied: Wish I had that problem
coasterqueen replied: why?
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh I didn't mean that bad...you are just so comfortable being you. You don't care what anyone thinks and you're happy to say so.
Just the way you said that was funny. Sorry, I must be in a weird mood or something...I seem to be laughing a lot tonight.
moped replied: White shoes are not good IMO
A&A'smommy replied: I do not wear white after labor day it makes me feel stupid I don't wear white pants anyway but I mean shoes
coasterqueen replied: Probably not good, but I really don't care. If you look in past years (recent years) many celebs wore white heals, shoes, pants, etc after Labor Day and it was deemed as "ok" "in fashion". So what makes any other year any different? Maybe because all of a sudden this year it's not in fashion? This is where I choose to be 'individual' and be an individual . I love my white flip flops and will continue to wear them all the way up until it's too cold to wear them.
Our Lil' Family replied: I'm not a fan of white shoes either so I don't have any of those to worry about. I don't currently own any white but I'm going shopping for a new outfit for a wedding rehearsal and I might buy white pants, but I would not wear them after labor day....too drilled into me also!
Jeffs Wife replied: I wear white pants after Labor Day, usually winter white, but it is still white. My mother always told me it wasn't proper, but I wear what I want to wear and I don't really care what time of the year it is. If it looks good and it is comfortable, I wear it.
moped replied: Now flip flops are wonderful - I thought we were talking about white pumps!
coasterqueen replied: Oh gosh no! I don't wear heals unless I have to! I'll wear flats 3/4 of the winter unless I have a really fancy fancy event for work to go to.
luvmykids replied: I wear winter white year round, I think it's "seasonless".
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I'm a winter white person also. But it has to be a thicker, more "wintery" fabric for me to wear it. So like a nice white button down or long-sleeve shirt or a cable-knit sweater. So yes, I wear white after labor day, but nothing that looks too summery, if that makes sense! I'm more concerned about the fabric being seasonal than the color. I don't look good in creams, so I always go with white instead.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Stacey & Clinton give it a . That's good enouogh for me!!
Brias3 replied: I think white pants are fine after Labor Day up to a point but shoes, no.
