Who saw Louisville on American Idol?? - Spoilers Possibly

My2Beauties wrote: Who saw it? So of course Louisville is my hometown and I think they made us look awful - like country hillbilly bumpkins. No one from Louisville that they showed made it through (some could have but they weren't shown) and everyone they had on there from Louisville were horrible. I was so embarrassed rolleyes.gif laugh.gif There was a girl who auditioned in Arizona from Louisville, Ky...she was living in California (she actually used to work with my mom) and she made it to Hollywood.

Kaitlin'smom replied: yes I saw it, ya they sure did not make it look to good huh? and what was with Simon calling that girl a donky?

My2Beauties replied: He's so rude anyways. I figured Ohio people would be happy because all the good talent they showed was from Ohio and one from Tennessee! LOL! I was thinking wow, they could have at least shown one good person from Louisville. One thing I didn't understand was when the Hillbilly guy was walking out and said y'all be careful Simon and Paula took that as a threat....to me, that was not a threat. That's something southern people say, y'all be careful now. It's not a threat, so I felt sorry for him when they said that.

Kaitlin'smom replied: well he was a bit creepy and its not something they are used to hearing so I see why they though that, however they should have has a referance as to some southern hospitality.

the donky was a bad singer though, however it was a very bad comparison.

not all Ohio was good what about the big guy dancing and singing billy jean, oh my was that awful

DVFlyer replied: I saw the "LOO-uh-vull" wink.gif episode too.

The judges' reaction to the "be careful" comment was stupid... That show- especially with the new judge- is extra annoying for some reason.

My2Beauties replied:
Hi-five!!!!!!! You said it right!!!

My2Beauties replied:
O....M....G yeah he was bad! LMAO!

Kaitlin'smom replied: laugh.gif I loved the how to pronouce it, cracked me up. So typical of the wonderful (insert sarcasium) english language, lets spell it one way and pronounce it totaly different, oh and make fun of those who mis-pronounce it.

Kentuckychick replied: well... it is Lou-uh-vull wink.gif
lol

But yeah... It's become a truth universally known that it is illegal to show an intelligent Kentuckian on the news. I mean do we ever make the news for anything good????

My2Beauties replied:
No it's always something weird. Like the year on the Idol Gives Back show they showed the Kentuckians from the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, the parents couldn't read and talked on a 5th grade level to be honest, they were so backwoods it was crazy...I thought...thanks Idol for representing Kentucky so well rolleyes.gif

blondemom replied:
Sorry I know I'm not here as much as some of you all but this comment made me flinch!
You are as bad as they American Idol judges if you say he was creepy because of the way he looked or spoke. Everyone in America is different and just because he was different doesn't make him creepy, he was from a smaller town in Kentucky. You could tell he was a big ole country boy, and to hold his head high while they made a fool of something that I say daily to my friends family when they are leaving makes him a hell of a lot better than the American Idol Judges!

Kentuckychick replied: I personally think that the entire Mark Mudd audition was set up to make him look bad from the very beginning. I mean COME ON... asking the guy if he had a gun after he had to go through metal detectors and such to even get in the building. That's obnoxious and ignorant. And then, to completely take what he said out of context.

He said "Take care of yourselves and be careful."

I say that EVERYDAY!

He wasn't menacing or hateful (though he may have been a bit odd... that's his personality). He accepted their rude and hateful (especially Simon's) comments without argument and turned to walk from the room. He was just bidding them a southern fairwell and it got blown all out of proportion.

Kaitlin'smom replied:
excuse me???? I am in no way saying because of looks or the way he acts he was creepy, its they way they showed him that was creepy, just like I think it was annoying how they took giggle girl and put her on repete. it has nothing to do them personally just the way the producers procieve them.

MommyToAshley replied:
I agree, it was probably all set up by the producers. I am sure a lot of what people say are set up by producers asking specific questions.

On the slim chance that it wasn't a set up, I can see why Paula might be a bit jumpy. I think it was last year that they found a dead stalker on her property. I think it was on her property -- I don't recall any of the details.

A&A'smommy replied: ha yeah I thought so too but it couldn't have been as bad as the first time they came to Birmingham

lisar replied: Dont feel bad they havent shown the Jacksonville, Florida auditions yet. And thats where I am. I cant wait to watch it and see if anyone I know went. LOL

punkeemunkee'smom replied: rolling_smile.gif The first girl made our dog bark and then she kinda howled and sighed rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif It was hilarious! rolling_smile.gif
