Who's the chef in your family?

jdkjd wrote: I figured we could find who the experienced cooks so that we can pump them for info... happy.gif

MommyToAshley replied: I do the cookin inside and DH does the grillin...but I am far from an expert. LOL I am counting on you all to help me out!

5littleladies replied: I do the most cooking but I sure wish DH did. He doesn't make anything spectacular but he has this knack of adding in little things here and there that makes his cooking much better than mine. bawling.gif Hopefully with everyones suggestions I'll improve. tongue.gif

supermom replied: I always think that your own cooking doesn't taste as good as someone else's - no matter if you do it exactly the same or not, but everyone in our family has their "specialities", even my teenage daughters and son, so we all chip in and cook sometimes.

ashade75 replied: We eat out most of the time, neither of us can cook! I hope to get lots of good recipes here!!! I need all the help I can get.

Kaitlin'smom replied: we both cook. nothing fancy just the basics. wacko.gif maybe when Kaitlin gets older we will try *fancier* cooking heheheh rolling_smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: My DH could burn water. biggrin.gif
Nah, actually he makes a pretty mean pot of coffee and frozen pizza...oh! chicken nuggets in the microwave are his specialty. LOL I do all of the cooking in the house.

Jenn, DO NOT tell him I said that. biggrin.gif

jdkjd replied:
Oooooo. I'm telling!! tongue.gif

No, Ryan has a couple specialties too, but is very limited. He can do a mean fried egg sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, pasta, or mac n' cheese, but it stops there. dry.gif

MommyToAshley replied: TLCDad makes the best stir fry!!! That's how he got me to marry him! LOL

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Lol!! I generally do all the cooking - DH does little things like kraft dinner, hamburger helper, sandwiches...and will follow my instructions to put meat in the oven if and only if I write them out for him. As if he couldn't follow a recipe. loL!

I even do all the outside grilling - DH turns on the bbq, I cook the meat, DH cleans the grill and turns off the bbq.

MommyToAshley replied:
But, little did I know that was the only thing he cooks. haha rolling_smile.gif

TLCDad replied:
Now thats not fair! I make a good TV Dinner too. rolleyes.gif

MommyToAshley replied: thumb.gif That's true. smile.gif And, you make yummy scrambled eggs...I remember when you made me breakfast in bed. yum yum. When's the next time for that??? hint hint! smile.gif

MomToMany replied: DH once told me how much he likes to cook, but has he ever did it? NO WAY!! I'm the one who does it. He does grill, though (of course rolling_smile.gif ), and does a good job of that. He grilled chicken last night, but it got a little on the crispy side wink.gif !

And when I ask him what he would like for supper, he says, "Whatever". Then I'll pick something, and he says, "I don't want THAT!" mad.gif UGGGHHH!! MEN!! There's NO pleasing them banghead.gif banghead.gif banghead.gif !!!!

ediep replied: my DH can grill, make pancakes, and make sandwiches. I cook everything else. Its great that he isn't picky though....If I've had a hard day with Jason and I didn't get a chance to make dinner, dh just says...no problem, I'll have cereal.

jdkjd replied:
Our default meal is pasta with garlic salt and butter as the sauce. Aren't non-picky DHs great. Mine will just eat cereal too.

momofajcl replied: I cook inside and dh does all the grilling. LOL! Thing is, on his days off work, he grills...so I'm only cooking inside 1/2 the time. Yippee!
