Wil's "big boy" room - pics inside
mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: I just realized that I never posted pics of Wil's new room! We finished it a few weeks ago! Remember my awful orange paint experience?? Well it's gone and I think the room turned out pretty good although the blues are all different shades. He has airplane sheets and a framed airplane print on one wall. And my dad is in the process of building a wooden airplane mobile to hang over his bed, so that is why the walls seem pretty empty for now. I can only get one side of the room because it's a pretty small room, but here's most of it! Thanks for looking...

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I love it! The blue is beautiful and it all looks so good...He also looks pretty happy on his big boy bed
KingMom replied: Rae,
I just love it!!!! I have some questions about transitioning to the bed that I want to ask, I'll PM you.
Great job!
C&K*s Mommie replied: Very nice!! I like it too! If we had boys, I think we would go with the airplane or nautical theme too, just because.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Rae it looks wonderful!!! I think the blue looks great.
My2Beauties replied: I love it, that is a very nice room.
kayla's mama replied: The room like very nice...I love it!!!! You guys did a good job with it
ediep replied: love it!!
what is that wood bed guard rail thing called? I wanted to get something like that for Jay, but I had no idea what its called and where to get it? Is it a top bunk bed?
3xsthefun replied: It looks really good! Love the blue!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yes, it's a top bunk bed rail. So it came as a set when we purchased the bed. I like that it matches, plus it's nice and sturdy. He sleeps with his head pressed up to it!
MyLuvBugs replied: I think that is the cleanest "big boy" room I've ever seen. It's VERY nice, and I must say.....I'm a little envious.
MommyToAshley replied: Very Cute! You did a great job!!
MommyToAshley replied: Edie, they sell the guard rails for toddler/single beds at just about any store... Walmart, Kmart, Target, Babies R Us. I haven't seen any wood ones, they are usually a padded metal frame with mesh netting. I found them in the baby section by the cribs. Just be sure to measure your bed first, there are different sizes.
You can also get them online
ediep replied: Thanks DeeDee, I did get one at Target for Jason's big boy bed....Its blue and white and its sort of mesh between the metal
anyway, I like the look of the wood that matches the wood bed frame. We got Jason a wood bed frame too, but since I didn't order a top bunk, they didn't offer the wood side rail.
kimberley replied: looks great!

Boys r us replied: Great job Rae!! I love it, it's definitely boy-ish but more of a classy look!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Thanks everyone! DH did a good job...although I suppose I'm the decorater!
my2monkeyboys replied: Looks great... but it looks a little too clean... you need a few piles of toys, some books scattered around, maybe a pillow or two tossed on the floor. No wait, that's MY Will's room! lol It really looks beautiful ~ something he can grow up in and still like when he's 15.
luvmykids replied: Very nice!
