Worst Wal-Mart trip ever!
~Roo'sMama~ wrote: So today Dh had to do something for school so the kids and I went along to town to have lunch with him, and killed the time waiting for him at Wal-Mart. First of all I let the kids talk me into getting the horrible cart with the two big seats on the back... you know the ones. This thing did not turn, it slid sideways. And of course the buckles don't hold them in tight enough so they keep getting out every time I stop. But it was still going ok... I got some stuff on my list, we went to look at the fish, and then made our way over to the toys.
We looked at toys for awhile (which is half fun/ half nightmare) and then Allie needed her diaper changed so to the bathroom we went. The family bathroom was being cleaned, so we had to wait for someone else to get done using the changing table in the women's bathroom. Then of course Allie screams bloody murder the whole time I'm changing her because she's terrified of those stupid things.
Finally we're done and we go back to the toys, but five minutes later Andrew has to go. Back to the bathrooms - this time the lady's room is blocked off and being cleaned, so we go into the family bathroom. And I admit, we were in there for kind of a while... I mean Andrew went potty, then I had to go, and Andrew washed his hands, then I did, and then Allie wanted to. So it took a while. But while we were washing our hands someone tried the door THREE times - and we were talking and being loud and I'm sure they could hear the water running and everything. So the last time they did it I got annoyed and muttered "oh my gosh" in a irritated tone, and Andrew heard me and said someone is trying to get in, and I said they just need to wait for us to get done, but I swear that is all I said! So we go out, and the lady is waiting with her cart and her baby a little ways away and Andrew lets out this huge exasperated sigh and says loud enough for her to hear: "Ahgh! That dumb lady!"
Needless to say I was mortified. I was so embarrassed I couldn't look at her...I asked him where he'd heard someone say that but couldn't get an answer out of him. He probably heard me mutter about that dumb cart a few times though, so maybe that's where he got it. I felt so awful... and so embarrassed. I'm sure she thinks that I said it in the bathroom and he was just repeating me.
Calimama replied: LOL hilarious.
If it makes you feel better one time I was in the stall with Miabella and the lady next to me went #2 and Miabella shouts, 'Oh gosh mama, that lady is doing a POOPS! Right there mama, do you SMELLS IT!? OH GROSS!". I had to literally clamp my hand over her mouth.
She says something every.single.time we use a public bathroom.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: OH MY GOSH. That's awful! At least in the stall though you can just hide until they leave.
luvmykids replied: LOL! I bet you've never been so happy to get out of Walmart
Those carts with the two seats are so hard, I once had a lady ask if I'd been drinking
mckayleesmom replied: I hate those carts...I always run into things with them.
boyohboyohboy replied: you guys are cracking me up!!! I am so lucky so far that my kids havent said anything yet that they are repeating from me! but the day is coming.
MoonMama replied: Brae has done the same thing, and does stuff like that anytime we are in a public bathroom.
Sorry you had such a rough time at Wal-Mart.
Brae's new favorite thing to do in public is pick his nose and hand me the boogers and really loudly say "mama I gots a boo-grr!".
A&A'smommy replied:

MommyToAshley replied: LOL! Sorry to laugh, but I think we can laugh because we have all been there.

I was running into stuff too... it probably doesn't look too good.
Dee Dee I remember that thread! Too funny. Andrew wasn't even born yet then... I had no idea what I was in for.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: At least you have the excuse of a small child saying something like that! Wait til they are 7 and they are repaeting what you said!
My2Beauties replied: OMG Dee Dee I remember that thread and it's so funny, OMG Hanna couldn't even talk yet, wow 2004 time flies doesn't it. I must say since then she has done plenty of things to embarass me
Sorry you had such a bad time at Wal-Mart.
