I LOVE HAIRBOWS! Not for myself, but for Isabella!

So she has a ton, well I wanted to make her a cute little hairbow holder thing. So I tell my friend and she gets to the craftstore before me and calls me and asks what we need to make them. I tell her she gets it all and today I went to her place to make mine.

I finish and I was like we could so sell these things. She was like ya WE could. So then she signs herself up for Etsy, and posts the photos of MY hairbow holder that I made. Then asks me if I can grab some more supplies for her from the craft store tonight so she can make some more. SHE is going to charge $10 for them. She is a member of a local parenting site that I am not active on and she posted on there that she was making and selling hairbow holders for $10 and is think about making bows as well.

I am so irked that she took my idea and ran with it. Maybe I am overreacting or being childish, I just feel as friends she could have said, I want to sell them on my own. Can I use the photo of yours as an example and would you mind showing me how to do it, it just feels like she stabbed me inthe back by going around my back to set all of it up and advertise herself and leave me out of the whole deal ...

luvmykids replied: Yes, I think that would bug me. Like you said, it would have been nice if she'd included you, either saying "Lets make a ton and split the profits" or at least asking if she could use pics of the ones you made

CantWait replied: Yes, that would have ticked me off as well. Not as good of a friend as you thought obviously.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Yep! I have had that happen to me and it damaged our friendship.....not so much because she did it as that she did it and used my idea and only knew how to make what I did because I SHOWED her....she had the nerve to call and ask for my help too!

I guess they need the money so I can't be too mad. I can't talk to her about it because I am a passive aggressive type person.

OH WELL, she has been doing a lot lately that is irking me. She is kind of mean to her baby, her baby cries a lot and she is frustrated and shes like "hensley be quiet, I don't want to hear that right now," so that bothers me, her husband applied for a job at DH's work and her DH does drugs and on his application said him and DH were long time friends, well they are almost positive he will fail the drug test, that irriates me to NO END. I don't want DH's boss thinking because they are "friends" that he does drugs too. Her DH is WICKED controlling and she is MISERABLE, and I try to give her advice < good advice like talk to him about it, and she never does, she just keeps on complaining about how he said she can't come over because of gas or some stupid crap.

BLAH ... maybe we aren't friends afterall ...

Maybe you should consider it a blessing and start distancing yourself. ALso...you mentioned that you should sell them...So make some up and do it.
