mckayleesmom wrote: And Im suprised that it really isn't bad at all....We bought more for her preschool then this list shows.

Book bag
2 boxes of 8 crayons
2 reg sized bottles of white school glue
2 boxes of kleenex
2 boxes of wet wipes
1 box of gallon sized storage bags
1 quart sized storage bags
Bath towel for nap time..
$10 dollars for field trips

I love how we are not told to bring certain brands either.... wub.gif

PrairieMom replied: she gets nap time? huh. Will she be going all day?

mckayleesmom replied:
yes....It is all day here.

coasterqueen replied: That's a pretty small list. They must have a huge class size, maybe? I know Kylie's list for pre-k was large and the one my girlfriend showed me for K is even bigger. They do suggest name brands for certain things, too. rolleyes.gif Our class sizes are small, though. I'd say you got lucky.

mckayleesmom replied: The school is very very tiny.....Im not sure how many kids are in each class....but I think I read somewhere that the ration is 12 to 1 teacher....So I don't think that is bad at all.

coasterqueen replied:
No, that's not bad at all. I think Kylie's is right around that, too.

mckayleesmom replied:
That was the average on their website.....I guess it could change, but there were not a whole lot of kids at sign up today.

luvmykids replied: Our list was ridiculous. Even worse was that it was only the "fall" list and we got another one in the spring mad.gif

Crystalina replied: I never heard of nap time in kindergarten. Izabella went all day last year and never napped and I loved it. She was pooped from all the playing when she came home so she wasn't "wound up". It's sad to say but I enjoyed it. biggrin.gif

mckayleesmom replied:
Really? I still remember taking naps in kindergarten.

luvmykids replied:
The twins have a 15 min nap time but it's not really long enough to do any good rolleyes.gif

Crystalina replied:
Well...."back in the day" we took naps and kindergarten was only half a day. You either went in the morning or afternoon.

Our pre-school is full day also. I know they take naps there because there are cots for the kids stacked up. Right now Evan goes to a private pre-school so he only goes for 2.5 hours. Next year he'll go to the all day pre-school and have to take naps. He won't like that but he's too early for kindergarten and this pre-school he's at now doesn't stimulate him enough.

I guess the kindergarten/nap thing may just be according to what the school chooses.

A&A'smommy replied: WOW thats a small list!!!! thumb.gif
