Yeah!!! - now we only owe 100,000...... :(
six_kids_at_28 wrote: Hey. Some good news came today! We are only 100,000 in debt! Well, at least it is good, considering we were up to 200,000 3 years ago..... We bought a house in 2002 here in PA but it was A VERY pricy house....400,000!!! But we love it, and knew that we would live here the rest of our life. We were pregnant with our 3rd child when we bought this and thought we would have one more baby..(yeah, triplets LOL) . The house has 4 bedrooms, a master bedroom, master bathroom, 2 reg. bathrooms, high celings, fireplace, fenced in LARGE yard, inground pool.... Plus, this is the town I grew up in. My parents and 23 year old brother live 5 minutes away in the house I grew up in, and my 33 year old sister and my 14 yr old neice live next door. When they found we were moving back, she dicided to move too...and found a house next door! Most people think it was unreasonable to buy a 400,000 house on a 36,000 income... .but we knew that we would be here the rest of our lives. 200,000 was paid the first year from our savings and my inlaws and parents chipped in too..... Sorry, just had to vent!!!!! Thanks for listening!!!!
coasterqueen replied: Well if your house is all the debt you have I guess it can't be too bad right . Trying to see the silver lining here.

six_kids_at_28 replied: Awww thanks!!!! Just the thing I need...I just had an hour break and now am returning to work. Thanks!! I won't have to worry about burning the lady I'm giving a wax too
C&K*s Mommie replied: GOOD FOR YOU GUYS!!! I do not know you but I am so happy that you were able to bring your debt down! KEEP GOING!! (btw-- can you teach me how to create less debt??? )
six_kids_at_28 replied: Thank you!!!!! LOL how much are you in debt?
my2monkeyboys replied: BTW, how do you save $200k when you have a $36k income!?!? Please, teach me! Really though, that's awesome! Sounds like a beautiful home filled with many beautiful children!
C&K*s Mommie replied:
in total $ 53+++ (excluding the $10+++ student loan that will come due in 20mos )
ammommy replied: Shoot, if the house debt is all you have, you are doing great! House debt isn't real debt as far as I'm concerned. You either pay it in rent or to the bank I'm amazed that you guys qualified for the loan. You must have outstanding credit.
six_kids_at_28 replied: We really do One of the good things I am proud of
six_kids_at_28 replied: LOL I am very blessed....since I was 20-23 hubby and I have been saving 10,000 a year for a house. It was very hard those years, especially with a wedding and 2 babies, but we made do with what we could. That was 30,000 right there. And then, Hubby, being the AMAZING person he is....sold our condo for 150,000!! And we only paid 50,000 for it! Plus..my AMAZING FAMILY!!! I am soo blessed to have them!! Both my parents and inlwas donated........50,000 all together Then, my sister who was moving next door gave 10,000 I still am in shock that they would all do that to us....really really in shock Sorry, just have to express my love for them one more time...LOL that sounded corny sorry The last 10,000 we took out of our income after Star was born. We went through hard times those first 3 years when we where in that condo...but we made do.....qualified for a lot of government help and by and by we made it. Right now, my goal is to pay off the rest WITHOUT ANY family help...and make this house a good place for my kids
Also, just have to say thanks ladies for all the good jobs...I don't feel I deserve them all since I did get so much help finacially But I love you all
my2monkeyboys replied: As I'm sure you know, you truly are a blessed person.
six_kids_at_28 replied: As are you
MyLuvBugs replied: In 3 years you paids off 100,000?? That's Awesome! Just think, in 3 more, you should be out of debt. That is Amazing to think about!!
My2Beauties replied: Wow you paid off $100k in 3 years with a $36,000 income and 6 kids - that is unbelievable!! Wow!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Really? So in 3 years you brought home $108,000 and lived off of $8,000 in three years while paying your mortgage, insurance, utilities, feeding your kids, etc. AND kept your credit good?? WOW is right.
Boys r us replied: Yes, that certainly is amazing!!! I need your DH to get with mine on saving money! Actually, I'm a financial advisor and oversee lots of deals going through..you must have someone up there looking out for you, b/c all banks and credit issuing institutions look at what's called, Debt to income ratio and even with all of the generous monetary gifts from your family..no bank I'm aware of would have ever granted a mortgage for that much money on a 36k income. Wow is all I can say, you are one lucky chick to have gotten that approved!
six_kids_at_28 replied: Technically only 2 kids...From the time period of when I was 20-23...When I was 21 had my first kid and 23 had my second
I can't take most of this credit..it all really goes to my family. Since now I am going to pay off my debts WITHOUT any family support...may be more than 3 years!! Especially now that we have 6 kids as opposed to 2
