Yesterday was diaper disaster day

Danalana wrote: First, I took him to the park to push him in his stroller. Everything was fine until he was wet and really mad. By that time, I had run into my sister-in-law, and she wanted to see him. SO, I went to change him in the back of my truck (it's an SUV, so I just put him in the very back). Before I could get another diaper on him, he peed on me TWICE. I just don't know how he does it...
Then, we went walking at the track with a friend last night. Apparently, he peed twice while we were there. By the time I went to put him in the truck, he was soaked. his outfit was completely drenched, and then he started screaming and trying to eat at his hands. I fed him and contemplated what to do...we were at least 20 minutes from home. And then his diaper just exploded...he pooped like nobody's business wacko.gif I called the friend I was walking with, and she had me to come to her house. Did I mention i forgot to bring wipes? So she got some wipes at a little convenience store before I got there and then she changed him. Did he pee on her? NO dry.gif
I'll tell you one thing...I'm pretty sure I will remember wipes from now on.

sparkys2boys replied: Well on the up side, he's a good pee'er..lol no issuses there tongue.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry hun thats motherhood for you. little stinker, he is getting you while he can.

Crystalina replied: You will learn to always remember 4 things:

1. Extra food.
2. Extra diapers
3. Extra wipes
4. Extra clothes...and with your little guy I would say for both of you. rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

TheOaf66 replied: I remember the days...it does get better hug.gif

Teesa®© replied: You'll laugh, but I carried a diaper bag till the youngest was around 5, rolling_smile.gif It didn't have diapers in it anymore, but it was small enough to carry around and I kept wipes and extra clothes in it... just in case... wink.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Lol!! laugh.gif Nothing like those kinds of experiences to make you remember wipes and extra clothes whenever you go anywhere! tongue.gif I live a half hour from everywhere, so whenever we left the house when Andrew was a baby I brought like ten diapers, wipes, 2 extra outfits for him and an extra shirt for me in case I leaked (which I usually did rolleyes.gif). I don't need quite that much with Allie, but I always have plenty diapers and wipes! happy.gif

lovemy2 replied: Live and learn sweetie - we all did/do!! Hang in there - it gets better and the parts that don't get better you learn to wing em'!!! Maybe his diapers are too small or big if he is wetting through all the time??? hug.gif hug.gif

Bamamom replied: We are laughing WITH you Dana!!!! rolling_smile.gif It does get better - then they learn to take off their own diaper growl.gif rolling_smile.gif

holley79 replied: You need some pee pee tepees. emlaugh.gif

Oh yea in the diaper bag, always throw you an outfit as well. blush.gif

lovemy2 replied: Another good idea Dana that I used to do with Olivia - pack a diaper bag (a small one) and just LEAVE it in the car - when you use something in it replace it - just put an outfit, couple of diapers, formula a bottle and wipes.....that way you won't get stuck.... thumb.gif

Calimama replied:
Ditto! We did that, and I STILL use that occasionally.

Danalana replied: Ooooooh, that's a good idea! I'll have to do that, for sure. I think I'm getting better at changing his diaper...I haven't been peed on at all today. In fact, he hasn't peed outside his diaper at all!

:.Mrs_Mommy.: replied:
Grats! thumb.gif Getting the hang of it. biggrin.gif

maestra replied: Poor Mommy! hug.gif

I remember when Jaci was little, we were at the mall and she had a MAJOR diaper explosion. Of course, no back up outfit, so we had to wrap her in a blanket and take her right home. We looked crazy with her in just a blanket, but I couldn't leave her in clothes with poop leaked up the back! rolling_smile.gif Ahh....the memories!

Jackie012007 replied: oh man do I remember those days... I was actually reminded of those days earlier tonight, when I was changing Carly's diaper and she was screaming and peed on me. Yep, girls can do that too emlaugh.gif . You will get the hang of it all soon enough! I remember when I first brought Carly home and I was like "I am never going to be able to do all this"... and then one day, you realize you ARE doing it all and it comes naturally!! thumb.gif
