Yippee!!!

He is in a private room on post surgery floor. He is on tylenol and motrin for pain control. No narcotics. And they are discussing discharging him tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. He looks great. No more tubes, the central line is gone and so is the last chest tube. He only has an IV in one hand. And the rate he is picking on that, I don't think it will last too much longer. He wore his Halloween costume for the transfer to the floor. His PICU nurse for the past 2 days came over to say goodbye, and they took a picture for the bulletin board. The best news is that they don't think he'll go home on any prescriptions except for a short term one for lasix (it makes him pee off extra fluid). This is such wonderful news!!
