Boys r us replied: Well, if this was RIGHT NOW...as in my babies were still little...I'd wait as long as I possibly could, in hopes that Rick would push the button..b/c I can't imagine him raising my babies alone, he's a WONDERFUL dad as far as the daddy stuff goes, but as far as the actual care and nurturing of my kids, I'd choose myself over him to raise them if ever I had to. OMG...this sounds so horrible to actually be sitting here saying..LOL ...
But if it came down to 2 seconds before the 60th minute were complete, I'd push the button...better my kids have one parent instead of neither! Jeez..I'm glad Rick doesn't browse this site!

I know..it is..but it was just meant to sort of make you think..ya know..when you think about things like this, it tends to make you look at angles you wouldn't normally look at in an everyday thought pattern!

I emailed this question to dh and this is what he said:

So he knows I would push it immediately too  
It is a morbid question, but I like these tough thought questions where you really have to use the noggin. But of course I didn't use it on the first try.

Oh you are not the selfish one. I think DH would be a better father than me a mother if we were alone. I don't do so well parenting alone, lol. So that's why I said that.

I know Sean will definately beat me to it. He will either be the mechanical one - pushing the button by accident while trying to dismantle it, or the willing to sacrify one - cos he knows the children need their mother more.

ROFL!!!!!!! You know I think my DH would do the same thing. He would be over in the other room trying to figure out how to save us both. I would wait until the last possible moment to push the button and hope that DH can get us out.
