This is the 3rd time she has gotten it since I quit nursing a month ago. after all new bottles and pacis and everything. I visited with my Ped last night at work, (gotta love working in a hospital for times like these) and she is having me bring Ally in this afternoon for a look. I swear, I am going to loose my mind over this.

Yeeahhhhh... no clue. When I quit nursing her we treated it, I sterilized all her toys, and bought all new bottles and paci's , but apparently that wasn't good enough. I get it all the time, they tell me its becuase of the med I take for my Asthma. I am beginning to have my doubts. today the Dr said that she thinks we just didn't treat it good enough, so it came back. She is going to put poor Ally on difflucan. If this doesn't work, I swear I am going to start to panic. it did't work for me, so I have doubts that it is going to work for her. I am acutally starting to get a little scared about this. so if anyone wants to say some "stay fungus free" prayers for us, that would be grand.

its Fungus. that grows in your mouth. Actually, it is the same fungus that causes yeast infections. Yeah. Gross.

Well, normal people take this medication called nystatin that is a liquid that baby drinks 3 times a day for a long time, like a week Total PITA. Nystatin NEVER works, so my Dr makes us do this stuff called Gentian Violet, which is this stuff that is Bright crayola purple that you swab in the baby's mouth once a night for a few nights. I got to put it on my nipples when I was nursing too. It was awesome. It stains EVERYTHING that drool, or spit up comes in contact with. It is horrible, and a HUGE PITA. that is supposed to work, and does for normal people. It didn't for us. Now we are getting an anti fungal med. if this doesn't work, I will go nuts.
