You know you're a fuddy duddy when....
My2Beauties wrote: OK so I have come to this conclusion..yes I am only 24 years old but I have the old mom dad old fogey fuddy duddy syndrome. Here are some reasons as to why I know this....
1.) At 9pm I start to yawn and say man I am tired 2.) I can't believe the way "kids act these days" 3.) I am beginning to lose interest in anything name brand and say get the cheap one 4.) When I do go out to a bar/club by 1 am, nomatter how much I have had to drink, I am ready to go home 5.) I am not up to date on the latest dance steps anymore as I was informed by my 9 year old step-daughter 6.) The internet is starting to scare me now that I have children 7.) I really and I mean really, enjoy a Golden Girls Episode 8.) The highlight of my week is sitting at home on Sunday night watching Extreme Home Makeover Edition 9.) I roll my eyes at most teenagers I encounter, especially the ones I see smoking and acting out thinking they're cool, I used to be one of those that acted out! (I never did smoke though) 10.) I find myself really jamming to the music I listened to as a kid and saying those were the good ole' days 11.) I am not up to date on many of the new artists and have not seen even 1/4 of the new videos on MTV 13.) Last but not least, last night I was watching that show that brings One Hit Wonders Back and they had Irene Cara on there who sang What a Feeling from the soundtrack to Flashdance and let me tell you - I was getting into it The other night while I was watching the same show, they had Tiffany singing I think We're Alone Now and I was jamming to that too

jcc64 replied: Try 40, LeaAnn! I just picked up my almost 13 yr old son from a co-ed b-day/dance party, and the way the girls dressed and danced, my eyes almost bugged out of my head. You all know me well enough by now to know I am far from conservative, but man, I wanted to throw an overcoat over each and every one of them and send them home to read "Little House on the Prairie" or something! Things sure weren't like that when I was 13. I felt like I a dinosaur at that party.
My2Beauties replied: I know, the other day Desiree came over our house with a pair of shorts that had "cutie" written across the butt. Um, excuse me as if you don't already look 15 anyways little girl, why in the world is the word "cutie" written across your arse? She said they're just PJ's - yah right! I shudder to think what the clothes will be like when Hanna is 13, 14? *scared now*!
iluvmysweetiepies replied: I'm in the club too.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Me too..
If I make it thru the 10 o'clock news its PARTY time!
And let me tell you.. I am told by my teenagers how I have no style and no GAME!
I told Britt the other day.. in some strange context "Im down with that" I was told Mom that was soooo 90's! I said yup...thats what you are..90's that was the last time I was ever COOL>.the day you were born!
I remember showing my chi chi's and NOW I hide them! I remember when a half shirt was something cute..not something that scared young children.
I remember seeing my Granny's feet and being afraid to touch them.. Now I wish my feet were as good as Granny's looked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I remember when 8hrs was nothing now 8 minutes is tiring!
