I'm surprised that the yearbook advisor, who is usually a teacher, let this one slip by her or allowed this...would never have happened at my HS. Can't say I blame the girl for not wanting to go back to school either but doesn't she have finals and whatnot?
I doubt they'll recall the yearbooks, they cost money to print and there are advertisers, etc, there is no way to do that. Maybe they should tear out that page before passing them out? And recall the ones already passed out and tear out that page? I would think that is fair.
Idk if the mom could make sure the daughter wore undies given she is 16. As for the girl, she is not an adult and probably didn't know that sitting like that could show off her wares without panties...if she wore panties, they'd have been showing the pic...something to consider.
Another thing, though--at my HS that short dress would have led us to be sent home to change...has this HS no rules of that sort?
Idk what to think but I do feel for the girl...I think she needs to use the summer to find a new school for senior year....

Thank you DV. Whenever I wear a dress or skirt even a longer one I've always sat down and crossed my legs, I've never sat like that with a dress or skirt on. She knew what she was doing I think and she probably took her underwear off at school

ok, but then why is she refusing to show her face in school again? I get that it's embarrassing but if she did it on purpose then why not go to school and bask in the attention...she could fake indignation and horror at school and actually reap the rewards of her actions that way. By staying home, she misses out on all the attention, other than being on the news where they won't show her face anyway so what would be the point?

my mom had no idea what i wore to school somtimes and she would look in my back pack and check my layers..it called friends and they bring stuff for you.
The girl should have known better but then again teenagers are crule and petty so a paintyline really would have been just as embaressing in her opinion.

I rarely wear undies with a dress for that very reason--I don't want the lines to show, has nothing to do with pictures.
Idk, I'm having a hard time believing she did this on purpose. I think she's just a young girl who thought it was sexy to go without undies to school and didn't think about that when she posed for a pic for the pottery club, lol.
I'm still in shock that this pic passed by the eyes of whichever teacher was in charge of the yearbook.

I don't necessarily think she did it on purpose either. I just can't believe she didn't think her stuff would show when she sat down... although her legs are closed so how much could really be visible??

My new theory:

She wanted to buy a thong so her pantylines wouldn't show but her mom wouldn't let her. This was her way of getting around it on a very important no-pantyline day.

ETA: They make those seamless undies that don't show the lines ... I just am not getting why she couldn't wear underwear.
