You won't believe what I heard last night
coasterqueen wrote: On the way home last night from the doc and dinner I was zoning, Megan was snoozing and Kylie was zoning too. It was really quiet in the van. All of a sudden Kylie says "Matthew said F***" I was like "um, what did you say Kylie!?!" She replied happily "Matthew said F***!" I replied "um, huh, what, no, wait, don't repeat that!" I paused for a moment in shock and then explained to her that we do NOT say that word. Then I asked her if Matthew got in trouble for saying that word and she said yes, he got a timeout. Ok, fine, but mental note to self to talk to the sitter about that in the morning.
SO this morning I started to tell Terri about what happened and Kylie was on the other end of the room playing with Matthew. All of a sudden Kylie said "yeah, Miss Terri, Matthew said F***". Before I could open my mouth Terri said "Kylie if you say that again you will be grounded today". Kylie looked at her strangely and said "what does grounded mean?" So Terri explained she would be in a very long timeout with no toys. Then Terri said she would talk to Matthew as well, but apparently she had no idea he said it . So I'm not sure why Kylie said he was in timeout for it.
I was FLOORED! Thank goodness she didn't say something like that in church during the kids sermon. OMGoodness. I am still shocked!
kimberley replied: that's almost as good as the alarm she set off glad it wasn't said somewhere else lol. maybe SHE put Matthew in a time out for saying it
MomToMany replied: Oh yes, the first dirty word is such a shocker! BTDT lots of times!
coasterqueen replied: OMG the alarm incident. We were thinking about that one the other day. Ihave to tell a quick funny about that. We were in Best Buy and the alarm was set off by a kid in teh back of the store. The guy (teenager) checking us out made some comment about how parents should watch their kids, how it's a PIA, etc. I looked at him and said "hun, you just wait til you have kids. I hope they do that to you. Trust me, I've been there, it's not like we WANT them to do it, but it happens. "
Oh and it's possible my bossy little girl did put Matthew in a timeout.
luvmykids replied: Oh boy, I try to be prepared for that but I think it will totally floor me! Colt always says "What the" and stops there, so I'm waiting ....
Kaitlin'smom replied: what a shock. I bet she did put him in timeout.
booey2 replied: Gotta luv what comes out of the mouths of babes. Matthew and Thomas know all the words they are not supposed to say and usually don't but when they do, it is usually at a bad time. ie: infront of grandma or at church.
coasterqueen replied: Oh yeah, see I'm afraid of what she'll say at church. she's already told the pastor she hates God. My MIL was confusing her so that's why she said it.
She has said what I consider not nice words like fart, shoot, darn and I've always had to tell her not to say those things and she has actually said the bad word for darn, but never did I ever think I'd hear the F word.
luvbug00 replied: kids!
MommyToAshley replied:
Sorry to laugh... but the whole story is kind of funny. I wonder if I will be laughing when Ashley learns that word.
Not to get OT, but it's funny what they think about in their sleep. Ashley will wake up saying some really odd things that had happened earlier in the day too.
MomToJade&Jordan replied:
Oh no Karen. I have been there. Jade has said that word but she was a bit younger. I think like 1 and a half or something. We were in the car and it was quiet and all of a sudden Jade said F*** that. I was lucky I didn't crash the car. We told her no and have tried to keep the language clean around her since then.
A&A'smommy replied: I HATE THAT WORD!!! I would have been in shock too goodness... anyway lol maybe she wont say it again ever
~~*Missi*~~ replied: WOW. I would have been like UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH honey!
