Your Fridge - Do you ??
TANNER'S MOM wrote: Hang your childrens pictures and drawings all over it?
I was reading a book called the Lonely Fridge. It was a bit of a comedy. But the writer said he was never happier then when his fridge had pictures hanging on it. I thought how perfect.
He said a how house that is perfect, and doesn't allow the child to hang the report card is a sad one, A child with no expression. A house with no art to decorate or good grades to show off is a loney one?
He said he wanted to take pictures of fridges and make a coffee table book..of all the things we hold dear and the things that we deem special enough to make the fridge.
He said if you have a friend getting married or having a baby, magnets are the perfect gift. Because the pictures will come.
What's on your fridge right now?
I have picture of the kids, and one of the fat me. I have a truck Tanner drew, and I have pictures of my friend Abbie. I have a paper from Justin when he got a 100 on a reading test and I have a paper that shows that Tan made it to the wall of fame at school for passing his times test.
MoonMama replied: Yes....COVERED!
whitting713 replied: Our fridge has her fridge phonics set on it. Her drawings (she has a lot of artwork for only being 2) are divided between a wall by her table in the living room and a wall in her room you can see from the living room. Everyone can enjoy my daughters creations this way.

Boo&BugsMom replied: It is loaded with Tanner's art work and other things. On the front I have tons of pictures in magnetic frames and the sides are filled with things he has made...drawings, writing worksheets, and art stuff. I can never find enough room for everything, to be honest. He gets very proud of himself and so do we.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Things from Christian's school- like "student of the week" papers, "I have good manners", "#1 worker", etc. The first award given to C on her first day of K-4. The girls usually draw new pictures every day so I have to play switcharoo, or they will take down papers and put new ones up themselves. A reminder to myself from my college that I need to turn in FAFSA paperwork soon. Phone numbers that came from an old cell that I never reentered into my new cell. The school regi card that I need to turn in to get C reregistered for K-5. A postcard about a family reunion in April.
I need more magnets!
MotherForever2043 replied: COVERED!!!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Lots of photos, a scribble by Logan, tickets for a show I'm going to in March, my calender, plane tickets to Texas.
Calimama replied: Mine is empty except for a to-do list to keep us organized. Bella isn't at the coloring age yet and to be honest, I like my clean slate.
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep tons of things Kait is always changing the picture of the moment. I love it.
amynicole21 replied: You can hardly even see my fridge for all of the crap all over it Sometimes the clutter gets to me, but I do so love to read the poems and look at the pics
Jamison'smama replied: This sounds like a photo post idea...post a picture of your fridge.
I've got plenty of things on my fridge.
lisar replied: I should take a picture of my fridge and post it. One entire side is nothing but stuff Lexi has done at school. And pictures of all the kids. Not just mine all my friends kids also. The front of it has picture magnets, lexi's report card and whatever theme they are doing at school that month. There is always something on there. I hardly ever remove them. I also have some stuff that my sisters son made me at school. I guess I have a happy home then...
inmom2two replied: Unfortunately, I know a couple of these houses and it's very true.
Our fridge right now has 2 kids calendars, 2 pics each from the kids and pizza coupons.
moped replied: My fridge is COVERED in pictures.....I love magnets and pictures and magnetic frames - I will take a pic - my fridge is MENTAL
moped replied: Lets see who's fridge has the most stuff on it
3xsthefun replied: I have couple pictures the kids drew, kaitlynn's school menu, and the school bus drivers cell phone #.
A&A'smommy replied: lets see we have fridge magnets, a picture alyssa colored, pictures of friends and relatives kids, a picture of alyssa from christmas, a birthday invitation, I can't even think of everything thats on it
mummy2girls replied: my fridge is covered... and so is every aspect of my house...LOLOLOL
redchief replied: Our refrigerator is our bulletin board. It not only contains pictures, but school lunch schedules, altar serving schedules, menus, and perhaps a few things we haven't actually seen for several years.
Cece00 replied: Pictures of my kids, a calendar, and a toy that my daughter plays with (you can see it in my post about her dancing)
CantWait replied: I agree with the author of that book. I have a piece of Anthony's artwork, as well as pictures of Ron's family in "magnet picture frames". I also have a copy of Robbie's school lunch cafteria scedule.
msoulz replied: Nope, it is stainless so nothing sticks. But I do have the boy's art on the wall in the dining room! I guess that sort of counts!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Phonics magnets, pictures, drawings, notes..............
Brias3 replied: We don't because I have stainless steel so no magnets. I do, however, have a sitting bench right in front of the entrance into our house from the garage that is cornered in by three walls and last year, we had someone fit nice pieces of sheet metal (does not look as tacky as it sounds, trust me!!) into the wall and its now a magnetic board for artwork. Each child has a section of wall
Kentuckychick replied: My mom STILL has some of our pictures on the fridge and my little brother (the youngest) is 23! Plus funny comic strips and this thing that we used to do on a dry erase board about 7 or 8 years ago called the "Chain of command in the house" where my brothers listed my mom, dad and I below the "speck of dust on the window sill"
I don't know what I would do if I walked into my house one day and all of that fun stuff was gone.
My fridge will one day be covered with the same type of stuff. I like the comics and funny articles in the paper and magnets for now though.
DillsMommy replied: I have a picture of Dylans hand making the "i love you" sign, that i made with the copier at work, and a TON of those ABC magnets. I need get some real magnets to hang up more of dills art work.
luvmykids replied: Great idea!
My fridge is my command center....calendar, snack schedules, important phone numbers, my favorite Scriptures, pics the kids have done at school. We usually keep up with the current theme of whatever they're doing in school, once a new theme starts the old stuff goes in one of many storage boxes that I will sort through someday. Right now I can't bear to throw anything away
Our Lil' Family replied: I am not a fan of a cluttered fridge but the side that is exposed (partially exposed) does have pictures of friends kids, family pics, a picture of Thomas on a 2006 calendar, nursery duty schedule, phone list. The front does have 2 of Thomas' drawings and his pic with Santa from this past Christmas. Oh and the bottom has his Phonics magnets.
Crystalina replied: Oh man! Mine is covered as well. My fridge comes to life because I have those huge clip magnets. They are great because not only does the magnet part hold something but then the clip does as well. So papers are sticking out at you. It can be dangerous at times.
I have pictures, wedding announcements, obituarys, Izabellas school menu and class calendar, cross stiching I made in Home Ec. class (boy that's old), little sticky truck stop calendar that dh picks up in his travels, about 1/4 of the alphabet magnets (because for some reason they keep coming up missing), magnetic business cards from everywhere, a kid I don't know (really, couldn't tell you ), a Pirates Of The Carribean poster Izabella got out of her Valentines day box and a memo pad that was a waste of money because I never use it.
redplaydoh replied: Our fridge is built into the cabinet so there is no metal surface to stick things to. But I do have tons of the kids drawings/project stuck to the wall. We needed a picture for a small wall in our living room after we moved here so I pulled out the paper/paints and let the kids go to town that istill hanging on the wall. Here's two pics to show you the work in progress and I'm so glad I have tile floors so we can do something like this. You can also see my fridge (and why nothing can be hung on it) right above Bryan's head. The oven is there and then to the right the darker blue pull-out pantry, then the two cabinets on top of each other are the fridge. Bottom is a drawer for drink bottles and the top is the fridge/freezer.
