Your ideal getaway?

CCTandME replied: I chose camping. It's fun and easy to do w/ the kids. Less stress then trying to go all out to Disney. MAybe when the youngest is a little older. Romantic getaway would be nice. With the right person.

mammag replied: My ideal would be traveling around the US. We are going to D.C. this summer so that's what I'm in the process of planning.

We also enjoy camping, though next time we are going to get a pop up trailer. I love the campfire and outdoor activities but I'm not super fond of sleeping in the tent. It's always a sweet idea but not so sweet in practice. It also makes for a nice romantic time with your honey if you go just the two of you. You're forced to just "be" together....talking and enjoying each others company.

once you get a pop-up you'll never want to sleep in a tent again. We bought ours 4yrs ago. Only regret is not getting a bigger one.

Kaitlin'smom replied: well I picked romatic tropical vacation, since that was close to what we are hoping ot do this year, id take Kaitlin to the beach in FL, we might have a friend go with us so we can go out one night alone.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Can I choose all of the above???? Just getting out my front door feels great! But I would have to say somewhere tropical. I used to go to Mexico a lot during college and absolutely loved it...okay, who doesn't love spring break in Mexico, but really, the beaches and culture are just fantastic! My DH has never been there. I would like to take him sometime. I would also like to go to Europe again. I haven't been there for over 10 years. My DH both studied abroad, so we have very fond memories. Plus, his family is from Holland, so I would love to experience that with him and my son.

I'm not sure where you're from, but for a somewhat inexpensive trip, go to the coast of CA. I'm from Santa Barbara (don't live there now), but I look forward to going "home" all the time because I really do think it's the most beautiful place in the States. The weather is always perfect! People say it's like the French Riviera. I would agree...let me know if you ever go and I'll give you some pointers on places to see!

PascosGirl replied: Well in 3 weeks, my hubby and I are going to Tennessee to stay for 6 days in the mountains. We rented a secluded cabin. It is nice, has its own pool and spa. We are going to picnic and hike. It will be fun. Then on the weekend of May 13th, we are going to St. George Island to stay. It is nice there too. So I will be getting my getaways there, I suppose.
