Zachsmom.... - how did the U/S go???
chloe&tysmommy wrote: I just read in the 'calendar' section that you were scheduled for an u/s today. How did it go? Did you get to find out the gender? Tell us all about it when you can
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Hi!
The tech confirmed it was definitely a GIRL!!!
However, the tech also said that the baby was measuring at 30 weeks. I am 32 weeks.
And.....she is breech. < _<
Anyone know how to turn a breech? I don't want her feet first...and I don't want a cesarean.
I was depressed about that...so DH bought me some ice cream... lol
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Awww I'm sorry to hear that she is breech! There is technique that your doctor can do, I've never had it done! But I would ask at your next appointment! Glad that you are getting your little girl, I can't wait to see pictures of that beautiful dress you bought her!
amynicole21 replied: YAY!!!! A GIRL!!!! How exciting Congrats
About turning a breech baby... I've read some things that might help. I'll look for the link, but from what I remember, if you get on your hands and knees a lot, the weight of the baby's back end sometimes will cause her to turn. I know there was a lot more to that article... let me see if I can find it.
Here are a few articles: http://www.wearsthebaby.com/askce/cebreech.html http://www.breechbabies.com/turning.htm http://www.babycentre.co.uk/expert/2063.html
Good luck!
A&A'smommy replied: aww im sorry your baby is breech . But LOL on the ice cream that ALWAYS makes me feel better too! Congrats on having a girl!!!!!
aspenblue1 replied: Congratulations!!! I think there is something you doctor can do turn her.
chloe&tysmommy replied: YAY! Your gonna get that girl you wanted....congratulations!!!
So sorry about the baby being breech...I'm sure it's not too late for her to turn, right? heres some *****turn baby turn ***** vibes.
Kaitlin'smom replied: congrats on the girl!
dont worry about the breech, she still has time to turn. I checked out the links and thats some helpful info.
however I was wondering whats the big concern (besides the cord around the neck?) I was born breech and my mom did not have a c-section even after the examed her and said she was breech. Also Rachel on FRIENDS had her baby breech, and I am sure they should have know that! Just wondering.....guess I could do some research....
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Thanks everyone.... I looked it up on the 'net too....and thanks for the articles...
they say that the main concern when the baby is breech, feet first (how my baby is) is that the feet or legs can pull ou tthe cord. When the cord is in oxygen, it pretty much stops regulating the flow of oxygen to the baby - so there is more of a risk of death.
As for the procedure, a version, (ECV) there is a big risk of ruptured membranes, which could lead to an emergency section regardless. So I think I'm just going to talk to my doc about scheduling a section, if the baby isn't turned by a certain date....
CantWait replied: YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! A GIRL Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry that the baby is breach, but you still have some time. Good Luck.
Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks for the info, guess they are more concerned these days then they were when I was born 20 some years ago.....
~~~~move baby move~~~~~no breech~~~~~
hope this helps!
coasterqueen replied: YAY! A baby girl!!!! One more for the pink team, lol. Hopefully that little girl of yours will turn herself the right direction before she is due to enter the world!!!!
MommyToAshley replied: CONGRATS! Girls are so much fun! At least now you won't have to return that adorable Christmas outfit you bought. I can't wait to see the pics.
The baby may still flip on her own. Keep us posted on how you are doing. I can't believe you are already 32 weeks along. It seems like just yesterday you were announcing that you were PG.
3xsthefun replied: Yipee a baby Girl! Congrats!!
My baby was breech around 34 weeks still and I think she turned sometime after that. Because at my last appointment she was head down. So..I think your baby still has a chance of turning on her own.
CantWait replied: hey just thought, I can't remember if you posted some time ago, do you have a name picked out???
Hillbilly Housewife replied: We have either Emilie or Celeste.
I used to hate the name Celeste....now it's growing on me...and I'm starting to like it better than Emilie....we'll see!
ediep replied: I love both of those names!
