a wierd poll for today - concerning shopping carts

alice&arik replied: I voted no because that is what they are working for. And until they make parking for expecting mothers or mothers with children, i won't put it away. I am not going to leave my baby in the car while i put it back or leave my stuff in the car etc. you know what i mean. Half of the time there is no where to park and you have to drag your kid across the parking lot.

MomofTay&Sam replied: This is too FUNNY!! I have to put my cart BACK! I pay a quarter for it. In NY you pay for your cart, insert your quarter and when you leave you get it back.

MomofTay&Sam replied: Ohhhh I get my quarter back! LOL People just stand and wait for me not too, then they get a free cart and a free quarter. Don't touch my cart until I get my money back. Pretty bad huh.

mckayleesmom replied: Not these days,,,,Im with you,,,,Ill take my quarter back too,,,especially with the economy. A quarter may seem like just a quarter,,,but those quarters add up when you need them.

Where I live, they do. We usually park in them, because we usually go grocery shopping together (DH and I) so we bring Zach along. When I am alone with Zach, they usually send someone out to help me - hence they can take the cart back themselves. The Expecting Mommy/small children parking is right peside the cart park place...so why not walk the extra few steps?

The only thing I HATE about shopping carts - for a baby Zach's age (11 1/2 months), there is the place for them to sit in, by the bars - BUT THERE IS NO STRAP!!!!!!! Some places where they have carts do, but not at the grocery store - so Zach squirms around everywhere, and almost falls out a few times - TOO EASY TO KIDNAP, TOO!!!!

Ugh. I never let go of my cart, AND I tie up my purse to it. lol! I know, I'm probably just paranoid, but I'd rather make out to be the cooky paranoid mom than the mom without her child...

maliksmommy replied: I always make sure I park next to where you put the carts back at. Our grocery strore has spots for new mommies too which is nice. I just empty the groceries into the car and then take back the cart with Malik still in it and then just take him out when I put the cart up. I hate it when there are carts in the parking spots.

coasterqueen replied: I voted No, but I really do try to put it back in the cart thingy. It just depends on the weather, too. If it is pouring down rain, I leave it by the car. I know, I'm horrible.

But I actually try to park next to a cart thingy so I can just put it back real quick.

aspenblue1 replied: I always park next to the cart coral thing so I always put mine back. I park nex tto them because Isabella is always with me and that way I don't have to carry her up to the store. I can just put her cart thing on it and place her in it.

MomToMany replied: I'll admit it- I don't always put it back! But as long as it's not wet, I'll take a cart that someone has left outside and just use that one, especially if we've had to park a long ways away from the door.

I almost always put it back, unless Anders is being a royal pain in the butt!! Then I don't dare - laugh - sometimes he's a handful. But most of the time we (DH and I) go together so one of us does put it back.
