Kaitlin kept askign for them so I had to look them up.
anyone have them? are they good, bad, ok?
booey2 replied: Hi Di,
We don't have them but after seeing your link it looks like something that Thomas's OT gave him to help him remember to right on the lines in his workbook. It bends and sticks to the paper. I think she would love them, I think my boys would love them. Gonna look for them when I am out Christmas shopping, would make craft time more fun and less clean up. My sitter would love them too.
lisar replied: It kinda reminds me of Floam. I never heard of those before though
Kaitlin'smom replied: flaom was awful and it was not re-usable
lisar replied: Oh no my girls got floam and it mysteriously went missing that night when they went to bed. I dont like anything that sticks to things. Especially play-doh.
3xsthefun replied: My girls are wanting this. I told them no because they will leave it laying around for Ryan to get.
skinkybaby replied: My oldest got some from who knows where, and it's pretty neat. It's helpful when we're in the car because it keeps her busy without leaving a mess.
TheOaf66 replied: Tanner wants them, I saw the commercial and they looked stupid and something Lucy would have a field day with
Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner saw the commerical for them. They are just like Wikki Stiks which you can get at a lot of teacher resource stores. We have had those in the past. Troy thinks they look dumb, but when I did daycare the kids would play with them for HOURS at a time. You can do a lot of activities with them.
ETA: I should also add that they are NOT messy one bit! They also do not leave a residue on things. At least the Wikki Stiks didn't....not sure about the Bendaroos so much.
PrairieMom replied: those look like wikki sticks. We get them from some restraunt, I don't remember which one, they give them out instead of crayons. My kids like them, but they leave a waxy residue on your hands and what ever you put them on. I don't think they are something I would intentionally bring into my house, but I would buy them before I bought moon sand.
PrairieMom replied: The did for us. our fingers and table...
Boo&BugsMom replied: Hum. I bought mine at a teacher resource store and they were in an air-tight sealed bag. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. I did notice after awhile when they got older, a little waxy feeling was left on the kids hands, but that was about it. It wasn't until after quite a long time though.
PrairieMom replied: maybe thats why? I'm sure this restaurant didn't keep a fresh supply. You know, I wonder if it matters how hot your hands are, or the temp in the room too, since they are wax based?
Boo&BugsMom replied: That's very possible. Now that you mention it, I stored ours in the basement where there is no heat (my supply room). In the winter time I noticed that they had less of a sticky feeling. That makes sense.
