aside from your hometown - where would you love to live?

kit_kats_mom replied: I would move to Hawaii again in a heartbeat if I had a well paying job. Mainly because it is beautiful and the island attitude is so laid back.
PrairieMom replied: North carolina. Somewhere between mountains and the beach.
TheOaf66 replied: Arizona or Virgin Islands
My2Beauties replied: If they didn't have so many hurricanes I'd probably wanna live in Florida because the wather is perfect there. I'd probably like California too. Anywhere where it's sunny. I think New York would be fun because of all the hussle and bussle, but it would probably get old after a while. Hawaii too because I've heard it's gorgeous, but I heard only natives can buy property there, that would stink.
Calimama replied: My friend just got stationed there with the Coast Guard and he bought a townhouse. He's originally from California.
Whoops he's CG not Air force.
lovemy2 replied: San Diego, CA
Calimama replied: Get packing. I'll help you unpack at your new house!
Insanemomof3 replied: Hmmm probably somewhere sunny. I am tired of cold and rain and all that. LOL California maybe.
jcc64 replied: Well, being an East Coaster, whenever I go out west somewhere, I'm amazed at how much cleaner and newer it all is. The people seem to be more polite too, and the community services, even the acknowledgement of a community in itself, seems more organized on the west coast. At some point, the snow and ice will get old when I'm, well, old. I'd like to go somewhere where I feel like I fit in ideologically, and I wouldn't want someone barking at me about the length of my grass or what color I decide to paint my house. I can't handle too many superficial authority figures in my life. Where that place is, I don't know. Until my kids get out of school, it's right where I am.
My2Beauties replied: Maybe because he's army though...my dad's girlfriend had a job offer there a couple years ago and she hunted for homes and was told she couldn't buy property because she was not a native.
HuskerMom replied: I wouldn't want to go far. Lincoln is about the only other place I'd want to live. Dh and I lived about a half an hour from there a few years ago and it was great being able to go to Lincoln all the time.
moped replied: Palm Springs - LOL
sparkys2boys replied: This is so easy.. anywhere warm
mom21kid2dogs replied: Charleston SC~water, historic house, shopping and great eats all in one perfect place (except for those darn palmetto bugs!!)
Jessiqe replied: I would love to move to Florida!! I have been there every year since I was a baby and I just love it! I would want to live by the ocean with my family!

lovemy2 replied: Believe me - if it was up to me - I would be there by tomorrow and my stuff would follow about what 5-7 days later? That should be about how long it would take for a SEMI to get across country right
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Santa Barbara. Yes, it's my hometown and we just moved back, but I was away for 8 years...so it counts, right? I truly couldn't think of a better place besides maybe somewhere in Italy. It's very laid back and the temperature is always a nice 70 or so. Not too dry, not too wet. Good food, nice people.
DillsMommy replied: Anywhere beachy. I really love the Carolinas.
Celestrina replied: New Hampshire. We went there in the fall and loved it - so much so that DH casually looked into being relocated there. The only other place I can picture moving to is Vienna, Austria. We were there about 6 years ago and didn't want to leave.
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Hawaii, because Paradisemommy (Tammy) lives there, and we hope to meet someday . I've always wanted to go there too.
Vermont because 3_call_me_mama (Carrie) lives there, and I'd love to live near her . We're hoping to meet up this spring/summer .
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Gotta say I am pretty darn happy about where I am. I much prefer the nice casual walk to the beach as opposed to.....well....anything else
Kentuckychick replied: I really like living here in Lexington... it's a nice city, peaceful surrounded by beautiful farmland (though if they don't stop developing it will soon be gone! ) and it's a great place to raise a family when/if I finally am able to have or adopt children of my own. So honestly I wouldn't be too upset if I ended up living here in the future...
but I'd really like to live in North Carolina -- on the Outer Banks or very close. So that's my dream...
