could I be getting new

Kaitlin'smom wrote: signs of AF comming? I had a horrible headach last night (on the verge of a migrain) that I could not take Kaitlin to her last cheerleading practice, and its still lingering this morning. I dunno what to do to get rid of it, I am noting it to see if this is something new with AF on the way. I had one in Jan worse that this one and I did not not the day so I am not sure if it had anything to do with AF or Ovulation.

lisar replied: dunno.gif dunno.gif I dont know. I just wanted to say I hope it feels better soon for you.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Could very well be related. My AF symptoms have changed as I get older.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I was hoping not but I will keep some records of it and see if it seems to be related then talk to my OB cause I cant do these typs of headaches, they put me out of commission and I alread had one episode of where I had to pull over as I coudl not drive for the pain and fear of what might happen.

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: It could be a sign of AF. Hormones can really do weird things sometimes. hug.gif Sorry Di.

Kaitlin'smom replied: never had these before sad.gif dang if this means I am getting older its stopping NOW. I am not even that old sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: hug.gif hug.gif I hope it feels better!!!

sparkys2boys replied:
Same here.. bigtime. And headaches are one of the new things I have. Hope your feeling better soon hug.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Yup it could be signs of af, I sometimes get back headaches when my hormones get crazy.

Kaitlin'smom replied: well at least there could be a reason for it, its better today but its the lingering kind where you know its still there and coudl come on full force at any moment but its not enough to really bother me at the moment.

mom21kid2dogs replied: I used to get AF triggered migraines for several years. Ironically, I've never had another after having Olivia (at 41 rolleyes.gif ). I do still get an occasional AF headache the day before and sometimes a day or two after I start but no where near what I used to get.
hug.gif hug.gif To you!!! hug.gif

Boys r us replied: I had terrible migraines the week before AF for years and years..then I had alliebelle and I haaven't had 1!!!!
Sounds to me like you better have another baby to keep these headaches at bay!

Just an FYI, if you take something like Exedrin Migraine as soon as you feel that aura of a headache coming on and lay down for a 30 minute nap sometimes you can get rid of it! If you're not lucky enough to escape it or catch it in time, and you end up with a full blown headache..a bag of frozen corn and 4 motrin always helps take the edge off of it for me.

If your doctor diagnoses you with migraines, there are some great drugs out there specifically for that! I took Imitrex(sp?) for years with wonderful results!

luvbug00 replied: i didn't have migranes with af until after i had mya. so i think it may be a hormone thing. sorry you feel ill, i know it stinks!!! hope u feel better soon hug.gif

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif Wish it would have worked for me. tongue.gif It's funny because I heard from a few familly members the other day that they had migraines all the way up until menopause and then they stopped completely. Guess I can look forward to that. rolleyes.gif

Di - beware of Imitrex if you have issues with medications. My doc just gave me a shot of this last week and I had BAD BAD issues with it. I didn't like the way it made me feel at all and had to go home from work. He said what i was feeling was normal. UM, nope, sorry - feeling drugged wasn't normal - I couldn't even work. wacko.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
if it continues and a one day thing I wont be to worried about it unless it makes me usless. I dont plan on using drugs, I dont take them unless i really have to.

coasterqueen replied:
GL. I know about the drugs thing. I only got the shot because I had a migraine for so many days I swear I was losing my mind and I couldn't stand it anymore. I wanted it gone! Of course the price I paid for taking the shot was worse than the migraine. wacko.gif
