Kaitlin'smom wrote: Okay so it lunch time time to decide what to eat, and I ask myself what are you hungry for? Well ever since last night and this darn commercail I WANT A BIG MAC AND FRIES from MCDONALDS. I know they are horrible for me but oh it sounds sooooo yummy. Which means I cant even go get soup from there for fear I will order the Big Mac.
Oh some one talk soem sence into before I blow it. Give me a yummy idea that I can get out.
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay well I am gonna go get some lunch...lets hope I dont end up at Mcdonalds
TANNER'S MOM replied: I am sorry..you should've called me!
I guess if you have a craving like that..it wouldn't hurt to meet it. I don't watch alot of Tv..and I flip durning a commericial. The next time you see the Golden Arches..turn the station real fast girl!
Let us know how it went!
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm telling you, go rent Supersize me at the video store. I did and I have not had fast food since. Totally cured my desires. Ok, I lied, I did but I ordered a potato & salad. LOL
Watch the extra stuff too. That's what really got me. There's an interview with the guy who wrote "fast food nation". At one point they were discussing the fact that one McD's burger has meat from up to 1000 cows in it. Let's not even talk about the "chicken" nuggets.
Anyway, I was a serious fast food junkie until I watched that. Now anytime I think about pulling in for a quick bite, I think of some of those quotes and I just get a soda to tide me over.
Oh, there was another piece on the DVD where the guy saved a burger and fries from a local diner and he saved some different sandwiches and fries from McD's. The McD"s food did not deteriorate like it should have. In fact, after a month, the fries still looked like they'd just come out of the frier.

I'm no dummy. I know my kids will eat at McDonalds when they get around their friends and stuff but I sure will not be responsible for putting that crap in their bodies.
Kaitlin'smom replied: duh I should have, shoot I will rember that next time
Kaitlin'smom replied: THANK YOU CARY even though it was late that did help and I certanlily am in no hurry to eat it now. Kinda like I will never touch chinnese food again (please dont ask).
You both will be happy to know I DID NOT go to Mcdonalds I went to SubWay and had a nice Club Wrap with some veggies. It was good. I need to pack again, not only will it save me money but the stress of where to eat today.
Thanks Both of you.
coasterqueen replied: Sorry I didn't see this. I wouldn't have been any help, though. DH swept me away to one of my favorite Italian restaurants for their buffet lunch. Let's just say I won't be eating anything but a bowl of soup for dinner now.
Insanemomof3 replied: McD's serves SOUP???? I have never seen that! I know how you feel though...I love Mcd's but I am trying to stay away because I am so fat.
Kaitlin'smom replied: oh well as long as you enjoyed it.
I was good, dunno what we will do for dinner might just have a bowl of cereal or a P&J sandwich
Kaitlin'smom replied: yep here they do, chicken noodle, cream of broccoli or tomato yummy
coasterqueen replied: I forgot to say congrats for doing so good, Di. Sorry. DH promises me that he won't do that anymore so it won't jeopardize our diet. Course I could have had will power, but I didn't.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Its okay....I am hoping I can keep it up. Weekends are hard and DH is not much of a help, not that he does it on pourpose but he is always suggestign somethign I should not have, or wanting to eat out, its so hard to order salad when there are so many more yummy things on the menu.
I just wanna go home and do my yoga, I am excited to try more.
CosmetologyMommy replied: I work with a guy who was owner and manager of a mcD and he told me how the chicken is just parts, the meat is mixed and blah I am getting sick just thinking about it.....
moped replied: Well I hav eno appetite at all today so the thought of McDonalds is making my stomach turn
