darn gas prices

I got lucky last night DH took the Van when he ran an erran with Kaitlin and filled it up for me  $40 to fill it but at least I dont have to do it for another week and a half

mammag replied: That's about what it is here. I think we paid 2.36 the other day when I filled up.
I heard somewhere it could get up to 4.00 a gallon. I won't be going anywhere then!

now it really makes me think would flying to FL be cheeper than driving?
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I paid 2.22 a couple days ago. I remember back to when i got my license (97) and it was about 1.40 fo ratleast a year. THen when I got my car the prices had fallen under 1.00

Kaitlin'smom replied: the lowest I ever saw was $.04 yep 4 cents but thats cause the was this HUGE gas war when a new station opened up I think the normal prices were 1.19 and they keppt droppiing a few cents back and forth, boy was there ever traffic jams and cops and workers dircting traffic to keep it all friendly

It was 2.23 here on saturday and 2.34 on sunday!

I just cannot believe it. It better not go to $4 bucks a gallon.  I will seriously cancel my insurance and not drive.
It costs me $20 bucks to fill my neon... and usually back when it was a 1.20 or something like that... it cost me only $11 bucks to fill my tank!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Unfortunately we are paying about 2.80 a gallon. We have to use the super unleaded with our engine. I remember paying 1.02 for just regular unleaded. I sure do miss those days.

We always have a gasstation thats atleast 5cents cheaper and in Missouri its always 10 cents cheaper. Lucky i live on the border
megsmommie replied: I have to fill up every other day, since I have to commute to work, and it is $2.48 a gallon here.  It kills me. And the news is saying that by summertime it will be $3.00/gallon.
texasp3 replied: I am more grateful than EVER that we moved into the area we're in right now. Oh, the prices are still high... but everything I need is within a couple of miles of the house. If it gets up to the $3 vicinity (which it seems likely to) I'll be exploring even MORE of my local area.
Just to give you an idea... before we moved, I commuted 50 miles round trip each day and DH commuted 75 miles round trip each day. We'd be hitting our employers up for raises just to cover the cost of getting to work. Instead, I'm now a SAHM and DH lives in walking distance of his new job. Whew!

Remommie replied: Our Gas Price is $2.29 a gallon for Regular. $2.29 for Mid Grade and $2.49 for Premium Gas.
My husband was telling me the other day that Gas prices are exaclty where they should be for the Economy and Inflation today. \
I have a Dodge Durango, that gets 10ish miles per gallon. I just make my trips down town count and I can make a tank of gas last a month.

My DH was saying the same. And my Mom reminded me how much it costs in some of the places we used to live (like Singapore) so I'd best not complain.
