amynicole21 replied: Putting the sealed package in a bowl of warm water sometimes works, but not quickly.

Momof3inMe replied: You could try putting your meat in some water in the sink. I try to make sure I take mine out the night before or in the morning and leave it out to defrost.

moped replied: I put mine in water

Calimama replied: I put mine in the fridge in the morning and by dinner time it's defrosted.

DVFlyer replied: I've used the water/ sink routine too, but be careful, because the standard school of food safety teaches that meat should never be left out to defrost. Go from freezer to refrigerator. Takes longer for sure, but prevents the little buggies from growing.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I run it under COLD water, it defosts pretty fast that way, or place it in COLD water.

My2Beauties replied: I normally do use the microwave, but you could try putting it in water, that's the fastest I can think of.

A&A'smommy replied: I agree water will defrost it

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Like everyone else said, WATER. Other solution would be to buy fresh that day....Unrealistic for most people, but it is an idea! thumb.gif

lisar replied: I refuse to use the microwave to defrost meat. However when I am in a hurry I will take the package outside and put it on top of the ac condensor and within 30min its defrosted. Not sure where you live but here in Florida it works, HOT outside most of the time.

coasterqueen replied: We only use our microwave to pop microwable popcorn, otherwise we are against using it.

I either set out meat in the fridge that morning or run it under water when I get home from work to thaw it.

moped replied:
Yeah that is about all we use our microwave for too - I can't stand to defrost meat in it - maybe bacon but that is it!
