did anyone else get a message from Parenting Club - after the virus thing was taken care of?
~Roo'sMama~ wrote: I got a message in my junk folder today, the sender is Parenting Club Message, and the subject is "tub seat". I know that TLCDad said that everything was fixed but I'm still afraid to open it. Normally messages from PC go to my inbox, not my junk mail. Anyone else get something like this? And Rod if you see this, should I just delete it or is it a legitimate message?
5littleladies replied: I would guess it is some one wanting to comment on Roo's tub seat in your avatar.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I have not but it is interesting........
C&K*s Mommie replied: Just checked... I did not receive anything like that. It could be about your tub seat as mentioned.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: well that's an idea.... I guess I'll open it. But the one other time I got an e-mail through someone on PC it went to my inbox, and didn't have the little *unknown sender* question mark next to it, kwim?
b&bsmom replied: I don't know that I would open it from an unknown sender. I think I would delete it and if it was important they would probably write again.
CantWait replied: I would delete it. Usually if it's a private message, then it would say new private message. However I don't know if there was a topic about the tub seat, but if there was and it was tracked then it would probably say tub seat as the message title. I still wouldn't open it though if you're unsure.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I rec'd actual e-mail from a member here. But I think (not positive) it read the name of the sender with Parenting Club somewhere in the email title. (I think) Something about the e-mail gave it away, for it to originate from someone who got my e-mail from here, not just random e-mail. KWIM. Not totally sure though.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Yeah I know what you're talking about, I think the one time I got an actual e-mail from a member through PC and not a pm notification, it had the members name in there somewhere too. I can't remember for sure though. I probably wouldn't have thought anything about it at all and just gone ahead and opened it if it weren't for the troubles yesterday.
redchief replied: If it went to "junk" it usually means there were multiple emails in the send list. I'd dump it and post that if someone did message you to resend only to you or send in a PM here.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Once and a while something that shouldn't be junk gets sent in there because I have the settings on the junk folder pretty high. But I'm pretty sure that anything from has always gone to my inbox and not junk. I probably will junk it though, unless someone pm's me to tell me it was from them, or posts about it.
redchief replied: Yeah, I have that problem too. The filtering software is good, but it definitely makes mistakes. I still wouldn't open it especially if you're not sure about how up to date and solid your AV software is.
luvmykids replied: Also, if it's a pm, it says "You have a personal message", not a specific subject line.
3_call_me_mama replied: Just a thought.. cause i got one like that on another board.... it didnt' have a persons name only the message board title and tub seat also was subject. It was some person telling me how dangerous they are and how they should never be used and how some had been recaled and they just wanted to let me know since apparently I wasnt' aware of it since i had a photo of my chld using one. It was a person who joined the message board SOLELY to send out those messages. Migh tbe somethign like that.. (Mine was an older picture of kathleen in a tub seat that was in a photo contest on their site for bathtime babies) but i still go ta message about it a few days ago.
TLCDad replied: Yeah it is probably someone sending you an email through the board. They do not see your email address and parenting club sends it with a replys going to their email address. Your spam software might of detected that the reply address is not the same as the address sending it so it flagged it as spam.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Thanks that's what it was. I feel kinda dumb, but I was paranoid after the whole virus thing. I've only gotten one other e-mail this way and I was pretty sure that it had their name or something included where you could see it before opening, but I couldn't see it until I actually opened the message. Sorry!
