did you find that the shape of your body changed - ...after pregnancy

Lynda836 wrote: For the few months after the baby it was frustrating to still be wearing my maternity clothes. Then I started to get excited when I could actually button pants I used to wear. Now I'm just getting more frustrated....I'm losing my drawers and not in a good way...in a plumber's crack kind of way. I still have a belly, but it's seems I've lost my ass somewhere. My pants tend to creep down, regardless of trying to belt them up, exposing my jelly belly even more. It's not that I need a smaller size, what used to be my waist is too big to go down a pant size...things just aren't fitting properly anymore. I can't wait until I have some kind of waist again !

Waist... what waist...I can't find mine anymore! rolling_smile.gif I have reallly saggy skin on my stomach, and my stretch marks look like a bear attack me! emlaugh.gif And I have this pouch of skin under my belly button, I call it my 2nd butt! blush.gif laugh.gif I definetly haven't gotten my body back, and it's been 2 yrs! rolleyes.gif But I know when I was breastfeeding, I lost a lot of weight, to bad I gained it all back once I stopped BF rolleyes.gif

Nina J replied: After I had Emily, I waited awhile to get back into working out. But, I am a fitness freak so after I worked out for awhile and got back on my usual diet I went back to how I was. Hopefully it will be the same after baby #2 gets here happy.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yes, my body changed. But I also turn 30 this year and with that apparently inherited my mom's behind. No fair. I'll never have my flat tummy again, but I am okay with that. I have learned that it is what's inside me that matters. So to answer your question, maybe your bum migrated to Idaho and joined mine. blush.gif

giffmom replied: I never got my body back, I started to lose weight at first when bf but then when I went back to work it just seemed to pile on. I didn't understand because I wasn't over eating and I was trying to lose weight. But it wasn't until I was 4 months pregnant this time that I started to lose the weight. I got down to the weight that I was before I had DS, but I have put a little of it back on. I hope that after this one I can get back my body.

my2monkeyboys replied: Can you say "Dr Suess Character"??? That's what I resembled until I started exercising and being more careful how much I eat. Now I'm getting a little better, but it's still slow going. Between having a baby when I wasn't in too good of shape to start with, and now about to turn 30 when the metabolism starts slowing down, I just have to work even harder to get/keep weight off.
So yes, having a baby changes EVERYTHING! LOL Thank God it's a great trade-off!

luvmykids replied: I'm definitely more bottom heavy now, I was always proportioned just right but now I have hips!

My3LilMonkeys replied: I guess I'm the lucky one here - I've always had a well proportioned hourglass shape and that didn't change with giving birth. It's a larger shape than what I would like to have, but I'm working on that. thumb.gif

holley79 replied: Well I am getting back into the Gym and trying to De- Jelly my Belly. UGGGGG. Preprego I was wearing a 13 juniors. Now I'm in a 18. I'm so sickened. I can't belive I allowed myself to put that much weight on.

PrairieMom replied: I actually got down to past my pre pregnancy weight after I had the boy, but I don't fit into the same clothes any more. My stomach is still a little flabby, and my rib cage actually expanded a good bit. My thighs are also bigger. I have no idea how I can be bigger all over, but weigh less! dry.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I seem to have kept the same basic shape it is just how much of it that fluctuates.

huggybugboy replied: I was way skinnier then even pre preg weight after having Miles, i thought maybe the doctor cut some extra out during the csection tongue.gif But then I decided it must have just been the breastfeeding, because now I'm gaining it all back again. The weird thing is that I have no boobs now. They were small before but c'mon!

The worst part about my post prego body is my hair! I hate these stupid frizzies!! I cant get them to grow out and my head looks like i stuck a finger in a socket!

EvesMom replied:
I can totally relate!

A&A'smommy replied: OMG my body changed dramaticly after birth I wore a size 4 before pregnancy and now I'm a 13 (I was a 14).. anyways two years later and I'm just now gettinga waist back

Edward's Mommy replied: Before I had Edward, I was really down on my body. I thought my legs were too fat and my boobs were too small and my butt was too big and my hips were too wide. But after I had Edward, I thought that parts I was lacking in filled out nicely and suddenly, all the parts I thought were so big are now well proportioned to the rest of me. And I discovered my hips aren't wide. They didn't even expand with pregnancy (at least not this one). I have come to love my body more now than I had before I got pregnant.

DVFlyer replied: My body totally changed. biggrin.gif

BAC'sMom replied: Yes, the girls went south and the hips/butt went east and west.
