do your kids believe in

jacobsmama wrote: the easter bunny?

I know when I was younger I was made to believe that the easter bunny came to your house (like santa) and left you a basket with candy and things. Is this what you all do or how you were taught when you were younger??

I know this is personal for some people for religious reasons...Don't want a debate Just curious to see if you play the easter bunny or how it goes in everyones houses????? thumb.gif

Oh I forot to say that Jacob is only 2 so we have talked about easter bunny but haven't really decieded yet what we will be telling him and doing until next year maybe. blush.gif

Nina J replied: Emily believes in the Easter Bunny. DH and I both did when we were younger. I'd wake up in the morning and there would be Easter eggs and stuff on my dresser, so we do the same thing for Emily. It's better this year because she's more excited about it happy.gif

jacobsmama replied: thats cool Nina that is why I think we are going to do this too because I loved it when I was a kid as well! wink.gif

Brias3 replied: Yep, they do. Easter Bunny, Toothfairy, Santa, you name it. Although Ryan does get skeptical on me at times. We do the whole Easter bunny routine here too. He leaves baskets for everyone (hidden this year per a request from my 2 oldest) and eggs hidden around the yard as well.

CAMSMOM1 replied: I know when I was younger, my brother told me when I was about 8 yrs old, that the Easter Bunny, Santa, tooth fairy, we're all fake. I got so mad at him, and cried my eyes out. blush.gif I think that's the hard part, about telling them something like that, and having them find out later it isn't real. But most of the kids at school will believe in it for awhile, so that's a tough question. I'm not sure what I'll tell Cam? dunno.gif

A&A'smommy replied: well I had to try alyssa new shoes on her feet and she freaked out and wanted them both on and so anyway I started telling her she would get to wear them sunday with her new easter dress after the easter bunny visited she didn't act like she heard me so I don't know.. we will play along some but I wont make it a big thing.. whats big to me is where easter started and why we celebrate it

luvmykids replied: We do celebrate Easter for religious reasons but still have room for the Easter bunny! They think they leave carrots out and he exchanges them for their baskets.

MiniMomy replied:
My words exactly! I stil believe... blink.gif blush.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
This is how we did Easter when I was growing up too and the way we will teach Alex as well

He didnt want to go to bed tonight and I pretended to call Mr Easter Bunny and tell him to skip our house because Alex wanted to stay up and play blush.gif (I know Mean Mom!) But it worked and he got right back into bed and I told okay now the Easter Bunny can come leave us presents to have in the morning! rolling_smile.gif

b&bsmom replied: We do celebrate Easter for religious reasons as well, and as when both dh and I were little we enjoy visits from the Easter Bunny. However, I only got candy as a kid until I was too old to believe, my kids are not big candy eaters so we get them a gift in there basket instead, ( we do put a little choc and some jelly beans in though) !!

mckayleesmom replied:
LOL...I did that tonight too. Yes...Mckaylee and Russell believe.

luvmykids replied:
wavey.gif Guilty .... now what am I gonna use? First Santa, now the bunny, after Easter I guess I'm on my own ....

Momof3inMe replied: My boys do still believe and Em is only 2 so she does too. The kids will have stuff when they get up and then a egg hunt outside. I cant waite for the egg hunt b/c this is the frist one we can have outside b/c there is no snow this year!

CosmetologyMommy replied: well aidan is too young but my sister is 7 and she still believes. We want her to believe as long as possible in easter bunny, sant etc because as long as u believe that magic and fun is still there! wub.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
I agree!!

I think I was in the 2nd grade when the truth was told to me at school about no Easter Bunny, Santa etc. mad.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
Take pics!! sun.gif
