don't you just love it when - they refuse to sleep?

cameragirl21 wrote: so usually when i'm shooting a newborn that is 4 weeks or younger i can always get those sleeping angel shots. but yesterday, i went to photograph a 2 week old girl and nothing in the world would put this little beauty to sleep, not nursing, rocking, singing to her, nothing. so i had to get open eyed shots...it's so amazing, i think, when you can look at a photo of a 2 week old person and already see some of her soul and personality showing thru, so just thought i'd share. wub.gif
and lol, when i got there, her older sister said, "my baby sister is already born!" and she was just beaming! love2.gif
sorry about the watermarks, i know they're distracting.

I remember when Megan was a week or two old and we had hers done I actually wanted her to be awake. All the pics were of her sleeping. Nothing we did woke that child up. rolleyes.gif We have one of the pics of her sleeping hung up in our living room and it freaks Dh out because he says it looks like she's dead. Sorry, terrible thing to say, but it does look a bit freaky. She's sitting up (laying against something) with her hands cuppled under her chin asleep. It's freaky.

Gorgeous pics!!!

Not to start anything but I have to ask...Do her parents know you post their child's pictures on a website-NOT your own??? I am saying from the view point of a mom who is protective over my child's pictures that I would be highly upset if I found a (especially a naked picture) of my child from a private photo shoot somewhere that I did not post it! blink.gif

i wouldn't post anything here or anywhere else without a release form.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Soooo adorable!!!!! I wish I had some photos like that... but my kids are a little old for it now. laugh.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
yeah, pics like that you have to get when they're really tiny. wub.gif
but Rocky, your kids are still quite young, a creative photog could do some very cool things with them.
my preferred age range is 3-7...newborns are cute and precious but they rarely have quite as much character as the toddler to young kids age.
it's not too late to get great shots of yours is what i'm trying to say! happy.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Great shots would be ok - I meant more of the nekkid type!

cameragirl21 replied:
you can still do nekkid at their age, you just have to make sure it's done tastefully...i know i could do it so maybe if you want plan a trip to Miami.... wink.gif tongue.gif happy.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Lol!!!

Probably not this winter coming up... but the next winter we're thinking of going to Orlando...

Calimama replied: Gorgeous! Bella's 2 week pictures were awake as well. wub.gif
