drama at the Piercing Pagoda

The guy was super nice and I was kinda nervous because I was worried how she would react but Carl was reassuring me and all that. Well the minute the piercer goes to start, this woman comes running up to me, screaming unintelligibly. I thought something was horribly wrong - she gets to me, grabs my arm and says "HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO YOUR BABY!! HOW DARE YOU AS A MOTHER!!" 
They literally had to call mall security to peel this raving psycho off of me - she was squeezing my arm and pulling on it so hard, she left marks. WTH? Like if you don't like it, that's fine and that's your right as a person and mother, but do you really need to physically assault me to give advice?!?!?!?! 
So once that was over, Miss Carly got her ears pierced - she didn't cry a drop! I was pretty surprised - but the piercer did an excellent job and she looks absolutely adorable! I'll take pics and post them tomorrow. 
Twelve Volt Man replied: First of all, that is one cute little girl you've got. Second, that nutjob should have been shown the error of her ways... preferably by an elbow to the face. She need not agree with your decison, but to assault you in an attempt to stop it, is worthy of getting put in her place.

hoosier momma replied: I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions and parenting styles but to aggressively and forcefully push them on a complete stranger is nuts to say the least. I would have given that lady a small piece of my mind and probably would not have been real nice about it.

I can't wait to see pictures!!! I always think tiny peirced ears are SOO cute  but I couldn't bring myself to get it done to alyssa  I'm going to wait until she is 5 like I was

Jackie012007 replied: honestly I was so shocked, I didn't react, just stood there with my mouth hanging open. My DF and the piercing guy were the ones who actually did something, DF was yelling right back at the lady and the piercer called mall security. They didn't ask me if I wanted to press charges or anything, just escorted the raving lunatic away. I undertsand ear piercing is a touchy subject with moms, but I would have been a little more receptive to a tap ont he shoulder versus someone screaming in my face!!
