let me be extremely controvercial and say ( this being only my opinion)

STOP ALREADY!!!!! rolleyes.gif

luvmykids replied: You're funny laugh.gif and totally entitled to your opinion.

I don't necessarily have a strong one on them one way or the other.

gr33n3y3z replied: good for her.....

Mommy2Isabella replied: I will join in and say

I AGREE!!

Kentuckychick replied:
Oh... she's already saying she wants more... wacko.gif

Although I might to if I had older kids that raise the babies once they "wean" so I can move on to the next... that would make it more inviting

Anthony275 replied: thank you for posting this, ive been looking everywhere to see if she had it or not!!

$10 says there's another one coming

edit: in june, people magazine said she only had TWO caesareans

stella6979 replied:
I agree. Enough is enough.

MommyToAshley replied:
Same.

Crystalina replied:
Me 3. I don't have to worry about her asking me to babysit so....whatever. My sister has 7 and the older kids don't help much. She's also a full time RN. She's dedicated to her kids and wants more. Her dh (a doc, so they are financially sound) and her have a schedule and they keep to it. AND she takes more vacations with her 7 then I do with my 2. She just left for Myrtle Beach yesterday. cool.gif Yep, she'll come back pg. I just know it. emlaugh.gif She also very very rarely asks anyone to babysit. Sometimes I will go over if there is an hour or so between her leaving and dh showing up but that's it. She's proof it can be done without financial assistance and slaving out the older kids. However, I doubt she would have as many as the Duggers. Then again she's only 28 so she has many years left. happy.gif

lisar replied: Good for her.

BAC'sMom replied: As long as it is not me…Good for her!

I do wish I had her patience. biggrin.gif

Calimama replied: Wow.. just wow. I couldn't do it. happy.gif

cameragirl21 replied: i'm just glad they have a Jennifer. happy.gif
and yeah, i think they're a little nuts but as long as they're happy....

CantWait replied:
No comment at the subject at hand. dry.gif

Crystal, I think that's amazing, and is completely different in many ways from the Duggar family. Congrats to her on being so successful.

luvbug00 replied: ditto crystal i think the situation you speak of is very differantly handled. The duggers do provide for themselfs $ wise. otherwise i honestly have all kinds of issues with what they are doing.

cameragirl21 replied:
me too. wink.gif

Crystalina replied:
I use her as a form of birth control. I love my nephews to death (and my neice, she only has one girl!) but whenever I get that "baby fever" I just go and visit her. rolling_smile.gif It subsides pretty quickly.
She has it together but then again she has to. My house is a wreck compared to hers. I always tease her that since she's a nurse and dh is a doctor they like to keep their house looking like a hospital lobby. It's too cold for me. The kids' bedrooms is the only place where activity and life are shown. rolleyes.gif

holley79 replied: If they were on state assistance or what ever I would probably have more of a problem with it. They are obviously getting kick backs from shows they do and the like which they are entitled to. I honestly no matter how many children I had would not want to be in the lime light.

What I don't understand is how the nation thinks this is a big accomplishment? I mean there are ancestors of mine who had 15-19 live births/ children so I don't see what the big deal is and why they are constantly making the headlines.

JMO though. blush.gif

grapfruit replied:
I think it's just because it's odd in this day and age. My boyfriend's dad is one of (I think) 17 (and it could be more b/c his dad ran off when he was little), and it doesn't seem odd. But he grew up on a farm and in a different era. I think that's the difference.

My opinion, I guess, is more power to them. 17 kids does not sound fun to me!!! At least it's getting easy!! 30 min labor!

MotherForever2043 replied: This is for Michelle Duggar: horray.gif horray.gif horray.gif Cutos for her! thumb.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Well good for them.

People couldn't care less if it wasn't advertised... they're public about it, so htey have to expect comments. My MIL is one of 14 live births. There were still born babies, and a few siblings that have passed on. My father is one of 11 live births. There were 2 still born. My FIL is one of 7.

Woopdee doo.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I think it is their chioce and I am all for it! If we (as tax payers) aren't paying for them then it is really nunya! wink.gif

luvbug00 replied: I really didn't mean for it to go this way but just quickly i feel i have a right to comment if they are putting themselves on tv . i've made my point on the enviornmental impact and over population they are cusing and influancing in another thred about them when they had #16 and found out they are preg with this one. SOo my peace has been said and i stand by having my opinion of them being irresponcible. Tis all biggrin.gif

Kentuckychick replied: I don't necessarily have anything against couples having a large number of children.

The one thing I will say about the Duggars is that I think the mom annoys me. She is the one on every single show I've watched carrying around a baby who's umbilical cord probably hasn't even fallen off yet and every single time she talks about getting right down to work on making another baby. Like it's just another one of her daily chores.

As "christian" as they claim to be I think it's very unchristianlike to go on national television recieve a gift as nice as someone redecorating your entire house and when you see your new bedroom for the first time and they tell you it's nice so you can have "quiet alone time" you say "Yeah so we can make another baby"

And then when you give birth to your 17th child and one of your first comments is "It's time to get to work on number 18"...

Seriously.

Some things I think are best left private.

Cece00 replied: Christ, who cares.

My grandmother had 15 kids.

They like kids, they are religious...whatever, good for them. I'm glad they have a happy family...a lot of people with TWO kids dont have what they have, so I'm glad it works for them.

skinkybaby replied:
I completely agree

Boo&BugsMom replied: They aren't hurting anyone by having more children since they don't live off the government so I don't really care how many they have. I respect them a lot, to be honest. They have raised their children to be morally and ethically decent human beings...that is something some people can't even do with 1, let alone 17, and something this world needs more of! Good for her! Just because this is not the "norm" now a days doesn't mean they are doing anything wrong, IMO.

grapfruit replied:
Once again, you said what I was trying to spit out, just much more eloquently. happy.gif

Jackie012007 replied: oh man I can't handle my 1 teething 7 month old right now - I can't imagine 17 kids!!!! wacko.gif

Crystalina replied:
emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif It gets better. hug.gif

Anthony275 replied: i was looking at pics of the kids last night, and they all look so similar i couldnt tell who was who ohmy.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied:
I can't tell alot of people's kids apart...guess that is why they aren't mine.... rolleyes.gif emlaugh.gif
