have to toot my own horn

Before xmas I didn't go out a lot because of BF and I was quite self conscious re BF around other people. Going home changed all that. I BF in the airport, on the plane, in a restaurant, in front of my Dad, in front of relatives, in front of my husband's best friend. In all cases, I was using a nursing canopy, but I've gone from being self-conscious to being totally comfortable.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Good for you! It took me forever to feel comfortable nursing in public. I did it, but it was so awkward trying to figure out how to use a blanket and still be able to see the baby to make sure he was latched on right and all that. I seriously hated it, but it's second nature now.

It took me a while with my first too, more so because I had to use a shield and felt embarassed, but it's so liberating once you get over the shyness of doing it, ya know. You feel so free!
kimberley replied: that's great! you should be proud!
Kaitlin'smom replied: good job. once I got the hang of it I stoped using blankets way to akward for me and they annoyed me.
