help with family photo
Kaitlin'smom wrote: okay so last night we were at the new super walmart that just openen and we were walking by the toddler clothing section and DH asked if she needed anything (refering to Kaitlin) I said ummm well i do need a dress for he for the pictures, so he strred in and started looking he found one he LOVED its like a little Mrs. Clause dress inclueds the tights and hat....its so cute. So now i have her dress which is red and I know I iwll out DH in his only suite (black) just not sure what color shirt and tie for him, then it leaves me.....I always seem to be the hardest person to dress for pictures. any ideas on color shirt and tie for him (we are limited on ties he will only were thin ties) and then what about me.
Boys r us replied: Okay so if she's wearing red, most likely trimmed in white..and Dh is wearing a black suit, then I think that he should wear a white shirt with a red tie. and you should wear either a red sweater or dress so that you and kaitlin are in the same colors.
kimberley replied: what nichole said sounds great hope they turn out great!
favre4fan replied: Ditto on what Nichole said.
Boys r us replied: and one last comment..it might look good if ike he's sitting down and you're standing beside/behind him and kaitlin is on his lap.b/c then your reds will be broken!
Kaitlin'smom replied: the only probelm I look terrible in Red and I dont have anything red
I love the idea of them, but I was thinking for me a black long skirt (not that you will see it) and either a black sweatter or maybe cream or white
Boys r us replied: white was the other color I was going to suggest. I would go with a white that will match DH's shirt and Kaitlin's trim on her dress...don't go with Creme if they're wearing white white
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya the more I thoguth about that cream would not look right, so it needs to be white.....humm I dont have a white sweatter either....and I hate shopping for something specific, can never seem to find the right thing then
Boys r us replied: It's a good thing you're not sitting right beside me..cause I'd be forced to push you out of your chair Ms Difficult! Why didn't you just say...look I don't want to go shopping, I don't look good in red and I don't have a white sweater...will my canary yellow one look okay?
Well, I wouldn't really suggest a white white sweater, so maybe a white blouse...or maybe you COULD find a white sweater trimmed in a little bit of red, like red piping around the cuffs and neckline?!?!
Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks for the laugh
not tring to be difficult I dont mind going shopping but when its for a specific thing I can never seem to find what I want/or looking for
maybe I wil surf the web find some onlie shopping places and see if I can find a swetter
ohhh I love the idea of white with a bit of red, now if I can find something....
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay what about this swetter?
swetter1
and I am still looking
ediep replied: I would say...Kailin in red, Dh in Black suit, you should wear black too so kaitlin really stands out! We did that for a family portrait once....DH and I both wore white shirts and jason wore red and it was nice how he really "popped" out of the pic!
A&A'smommy replied: UGH I'm not very good at these things either Good Luck!! I just wanted to say how sweet that sounded, SOOO cute!!!
Kaitlin'smom replied: humm that sounds good also...I still have to buy a sweatter or something to go with the skirt.
can you post the pic, so I can see?
Josie83 replied: Check Nichole out with her indepth ideas for the colours and seating arrangements! That girl makes me scream! I would say either red, white or black like your hubby. Not too good at this sort of question, tho, anything like shopping and clothes is beyond me! xx
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Are you going for a really formal look? If so than I totally agree with the all black for both you and dh with the Mrs. Clause dress for dd.
Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks I am leaning going for dark for myself, Dh in his suite with white shirt and some tie (either red or dark) and her in the dress. I will post pics as soon as they are taken and I get them
MomofJandB replied: Here's a twist...not as formal, but what about a printed sweater to break up the solids? Just a thought!
Kaitlin'smom replied: not a bad though but I would have to change, since we are also doing a big group shot with my parents and sister with her family
